Update; 46500 plus.

Figures from last two refills, 11.4 and 11.8kmpl 100% AC.

A highway run gave 13.4kmpl; 100% AC and cursing at safe 100 most of the time.

I'm satisfied and am not trying hard to get that FE.
The FE is great.

My last two city runs gave me about 18.9 and 18.2 km/litre on Shell's normal unleaded petrol, this was with the a/c on for about 20% of the time. The car is due for the 20,000 kms this week, so will update post the service, though I am not expecting any substantial gains in FE post the service.

My 1.6 italian beauty gives me 11kmpl with 50% AC on shell unleaded. Who says a car needs to be fuel efficient ? I say the driver has to be fuel efficient in his driving and theories that the Palio 1.6 gives 7-8kmpl are balderdash . I am sure the same applies for all the other four wheelers on our ravaged roads.

So were you expecting a lower FE with all those Mods? Again the same arguement , depends on the driver how much he can take out of his vehicle.

@harish

Yes I was expecting it to drop initially after the mods were installed, cause you cant go fast without more power, and more power = higher fuel consumption. But yes as you said, it depends on the driver, and I'm getting a FE of 10 with my driving at the moment.

ganesh,

Extracting the maximum mileage from the last drop of fuel is all down to the driving style. But, the engine also plays a big role in FE as we all know that MPFi engines give far better FE than their carb counter parts.

I get around 14.5 kmpl from my old mpfi zen. AC usage is around 40%-50%.
This is from tankful to tankful and mileage is amazingly consistent and hovers between 14.5 to 15 kmpl always!

i20 Magna Mumbai City 5000 kms
12.4 city - 50% ac,

My last tank fill was 620 kms/38 litres ~ 16.3. 520 kms on highway (Shirdi trip) and 100 kms on heavy city traffic. I think the highway figures would be above 17.
AC was on 75%
