Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Both on normal petrol with 90% AC, tankful method.
2 adults and a 5 year old

Jazz 2009 run 28K kms:
In city - 14; highway - 18 approx. (thanks to some spirited revving and more luggage!)

Nano 2011 run 1K kms
In city - 16 to 17 (varies according to the petrol pump)
highway - 21 (only a couple of bags at the most)

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Indica Non turbo Model ,With 2 adults in highway is just giving me 14 KMPL for Diesel version..

Previously I was getting around 17 KMPL,but now it has been reduced any particular reason ? I do regaular oil change for every 7500 Km and my vehicle has done around 110000 Kms

PS: I used to maintain 100- 110 KM in highway with AC on

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Best mileage I've ever got over a 30km trip in the city!

Managed to get 18km/l on the Expressway.

Average 11km/l in Mumbai city traffic, not bad for a Civic!

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

The 15 year old 800 am currently using gives just 15 kmpl. I miss my biking days when at worst I used to get 35kmpl from my pulsar 220 on really hard riding. Comparing a car and a bike in terms of FE is not wise but still 15kmpl from a 800 is really lesser than expected.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Just completed a Sulthan Bathery - Bangalore - Sulthan Bathery trip.

Vehicle: Ford IKON Flair
Total kms covered: 614. 20% City and 80% highway run
Total fuel consumed: 36.95 liters of petrol
Average efficiency : 16.61 kmpl

Pretty good considering the tight schedules and ripping it has gone through.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Got 19.6kmpl for my i20 CRDi (6 Speed) during a Cochin-Bangalore yesterday. I was touching 120 km/hr on all possible empty stretches. This was a midnight drive.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Honda City i-VTEC 100% AC on returns mileage of 14.1 KMPL in city traffic. Best I have got is 16.5 KMPL on Gurgaon Expressway. That is quite good mileage considering the size of the engine and the car. In fact its Mileage is more than my WagonR.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I drive a Ford Figo (26K odo)and a Fiat Linea (21.5K odo)

Last week performance

Found out last week
On my Figo, I am getting around 20.6kmpl in city (outskirts) and 22kmpl on highway (since monsoon started)

On my linea I am getting 15.4kmpl in the city and 16.8kmpl on highways
This is kochi city and I do not dwell much into the city as such. just sub urban traffic and associated traffic jams only. But a lot of driving is done in the second and third.

Monsoons are really getting the best out of my beauties.

Both 100% AC (even during rains I drive with AC only)
Speeds are moderate lets say (average 50kmph and max of 80kmph in city and around 75kmph and max of 100kmph on highways)

Figo mileage is with 3 on board and Linea mileage is with 4 on board.
(Have I missed anything)

BlueVolt is you fuel efficiency based on Tankfull-to-Tankfull method or just HUD? And is your city mileage based on bumper-to-bumper traffic?

As shown in the picture this reading is from MID. Generally this reading varies from 14.0 to 14.8 KMPL but I took the picture when the car was parked. This includes mix of city driving including congested roads.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I embarked on "Project 600" last month, which was to try to hit 600 km on one full tank in city driving conditions. I drive a City 1.5exi and live in Bangalore. Thrilled to complete the project successfully - Did 628 km before the next full tank where 39.5 liters went in, working out to a mileage of around 15.9 km/liter. When I am driving normally, my mileage has consistently been around 12.5-13 kmpl in the same city driving cycle.

Learning - Driving style can impact fuel efficiency by 20-25%, if not more.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

2007 NHC iDSI gives me min 12.5kmpl with almost always AC on. Infact the only time I dont switch the AC on is for the first 10 mins in the mornings. The best I have got in the last 12 months is 13.94kmpl for all city driving.. I drive in moderate to heavy traffic - daily commute is from Koramangala 4th Block to ORR - have to pass thru the Belandur and Devarabisanahalli flyover contructions - 1st gear only for 10 mins for a km or so... But the rest is normal (bad) Bangalore traffic.

My 2001 Santro Zipdrive is 100% chauffer driven and gives between 9.5 to 10kmpl with almost 100% AC on. The clutch has worn out completely (its operation has become almost like a switch as opposed to a smooth action!), and makes funny noises as well. Will be replaced as soon as the dealer gets the part. Would this be playing a role in the lower FE? At one point in time, I was getting 13-14kmpl consistently (only diff was that I was driving it and no driver).. It has run about 65K kms so far, and has been an excellent car all thru.
