Method of calculation : Tank full to tank full, 90% filled at my favourite BP COCO fuel station in my town, Almost every fill was Hi-Speed Diesel, except current fill-up which was filled at highway pump.
Recent diesel top-up of 37 litters - FE 18.17 in mixed traffic conditions with increased tire pressure, now 32 PSI and almost no AC usage. Most trips were very short of just 2-5 kms (in winters I drop my kid to school). Started filling normal diesel from last top-up, now will observe what all these changes will impact on FE.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

4 months Old Petrol Liva - Every day minimum 18 km drive. In city - 13kmpl and highways 18kmpl. This is my first car and I am new to drive and my city roads are bad. With these factors I am happy with the mileage.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

On my 2007 Optra Magnum Diesel - I'm getting aout 14.5 regularly here in Gurgaon and Delhi. Largely city commute with loads of traffic snarls.

On my 2006 Swift Zxi - I'm getting about 13 - the car is only used for very short drives so that is one reason for the low FE.

In my Safari I get mixed FE depending upon road condition

1. City: Lots of jam/idling: I get around 9.8 - 10.2 KMPL
2. 4 Laned divider highway: I maintain speed between 80 - 110 KMPH: I get around 14.0 - 14.4 KMPL.
3. Two laned highway: Lots of braking and traffic: I get around 12.4 - 12.8 KMPL.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Honda jazz 2 months old.
12 kmpl in not so bumper to bumper traffic, but cannot cruise as well. By sedate driving at 80- 90 Kmph, keeping RPM in the range of 2000-3000 getting close to 18 kmpl on highway. This based on TFTcalculation.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Yeti Elegance 4x4 Diesel 2litre TDi CR.

We get a consistent 13 odd in city and 15 odd in a mix of city and highway.
The windows are up all the time and the AC is on all the time. As of now, to prevent that horrible smoke and pollution, I dont switch off at traffic signals for that 90-120 seconds when I wait.
In terms of pure highway driving at sensible speeds, I have not measured exactly as yet but I think it will be close to 17kmpl or so. Car is fully run in and has done 3000kms. Brakes, tyres and engine are fully bedded in now so I guess FE will also have evened out.
