Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My '03 Santro returned a mileage of 27.5+, yesterday on the highway on CNG, with 5 passengers. Easily manages 21+ figues for FBD to Noida run (do not take the DND route).

Had to keep the vehicle under 100 most of time because of highway speed guns, keeping the cops busy on Sunday.

Cool! Now only if you get addicted to the vtech growl

AC usage has started in Delhi NCR during afternoon and immediate drop of 1 kmpl.

Thanks! Have been resisting the growl except on two occasions as a part of the run in :(
The AC usage is more of dust prevention & fresh air circulation.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Hit the highway after a long time.

Delhi - Lansdowne - Delhi via NH58, NH119. No AC, light traffic on onward journey and heavy traffic between Mawana and Delhi on return. Speeds below 95 kph but not particularly slow. Steep hills for almost 100 km.

21.41 kpl.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Made a 400km return trip on my new swift VDi.Measured tankfull to tankfull. Got an FE of 21 kmpl. This was normal driving with speeds ranging between 80-130kmph and ac on 50% of the time. Also completed 8k km.
Will try to be FE consious next time.I think 24 is achievable.
The avg FE display is hovering between 19.7-20.1 since the last 2-3k km. Is it the FE of the car till date??

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Skoda Fabia 1.6MPI averaging at about 12.3kmpl after 3 full-tank methods. All driving within Bangalore city limits.

Yet to try the highway. The MFD usually shows about 18kmpl during highway drives, but need to try the full-tank method some time.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Sorry if this is off-topic. I always wanted to say that this thread is about actual fuel efficiency and not about best fuel efficiency ever achieved. Posts like one from IRS above is what which makes this thread useful. I request others to post actual mileage and post highest mileage achieved in their ownership reports or somewhere else so that I can use this thread to decide/recommend a car.
