| ![]() The 320d has done 4000+ km now. The FE within the city has been consistent at 12.5-13 kmpl over approx. 2700 km. A recent highway trip of 1300 km returned me 11.6 kmpl with no effort to increase mileage (read 'driving like its meant to be driven') |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Cruze 2011, LTZ AT. Done 15000 KM's now. FE - 8 kmpl. (City) / 10-11kmpl (highway) It was giving me 7-7.5 when I just got it, but since about 1500KM's were done, it's been consistently giving me 8 kmpl. When my Mom drives it (rarely), she usually gets around 9 kmpl. I don't know what I'm doing wrong :P |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Palio 1.6 GTX - 2002 make. City - consistent 9 - 9.5 kmpl with 100% AC. Normal highways - 12 - 12.5 with 80% AC. Express highway - 11.5 with 100% AC. I once drove the e-way at a constant 80-100 kmph and it returned a phenominal 13.5 kmpl. I doubt I would ever repeat this feat, as its a torture to drive this car at constant 80-100. It screams and begs for more ! |

| ![]() My 14-month old Fiesta TDCI Kms Done : 18000 + Overall FE : 21.x kmpl ![]() Method : Total fuel filled since Day 1 and kms covered since then ![]() AC : 50% of time (usually not required in evenings) Highway runs : About 25% of kms covered Observations : - Mileage drops when driven over 110+ kmph - Best mileage at between 80 and 90 kmph in 5th gear - Driving below 90 on highways is VERY difficult because the car begs to be driven at higher speeds ... it feels very planted and stable at nearly all speeds - Driving style is not to rev very hard, upshift early but drive at 'high end of optimal speeds' depending on the road conditions, both within city and highways Last edited by RoadTiger : 18th April 2012 at 14:46. |

| ![]() My 11 month old Ford Figo 1.4 TDCI Titanium (20,000 kms) City - between 14.5 and 16 kmpl with 100% AC, depending upon traffic conditions Highways - Between 15.5 and 16.5 kmpl with 100% AC. (Mileage calculation on tank full to tank full basis) I think the low highway mileage is more to do with the speeds it has been driven at. My highways runs have mostly been on NH1 and NH8, with speeds in excess of 100 kmph. Last edited by ess_a : 18th April 2012 at 16:48. |

| ![]() Chevrolet Spark LT Petrol: xtrapremium only method -tankful to tankful City -16 Kmpl (AC 0%) / 13-14 kmpl (AC 40-50%) Highways - 18.35kmpl with 20% AC (gulped 17L in 312 kms.) without AC 19.3 (consumed 11 L in 213kms) these are very recent observations. in highways it consistently gives 18-19 kmpl. I follow the tips given in the help article: Maximum fuel Efficiency in team-bhp. |

For the manual version, I have come across two persons who have only managed only 7 to 8 kmpl. Infact one of the persons approached me observing my Key Fob and asked whether I was driving a Cruze and subsequently what was my FE. He seemed to be pretty dissatisfied with the FE he was getting ![]() As I have mentioned before I am also getting 8 at the very best.

I usually get around 12-13kmpl with AC ON all the time ![]() I have tried and tested various driving levels, like maintaining speed within 90km on highways, and there are times, where I have followed the gear shift display's we get in i20 CRDI, but nothing changed drastically. I am somehow, yet to figure out is this actual FE i20 CRDI returns, or is it just my car?

![]() Me being a learner, The only thing I use is 2000+ rpm to shift upwards and/or weird noise from engine. And upward gears 1-10 1st. 10-35 2nd 35-55 3rd. 55+ 4th 70+ and any constant speed 5th. Experts help. ![]() I can say one thing, with breaking FE changes a lot. so there is a huge gap between city and highway mileage. mine odo is at 5k Kms, no additional sun films yet. No changes done to vehicle. I am waiting to try synthetic oil as other options like tuning box may be too big a step for me.
