Car - TATA Indigo GLX
Fuel - HP-Power
City figures - 10 kmpl (with a/c)
Highway figures - 16.6 kmpl (without a/c)
* Highway figures recorded recently on a regular weekend run to Kochi from Coimbatore which bettered the previous figure of 14kmpl recorded on a Chennai <--> Coimbatore trip, absolute joke of a road between Salem - Kallakurichi marred the figures I guess.
* City driving figures were evolved from wheel to wheel driving in Coimbatore city doing an average of 50 kms per day.

I have managed to put 5 liters after the auto cut off.... and at times.. not more than 2 goes in.

The auto cut off ... stops the moment the fuel jumps up to release the trapped air... once the air is released there is more room. (but not always there would be same amount of trapped air!)

If auto cut offs were accurate how could one manage to put in 2-5 liters after the cut off, since the pump nozzle is just 5-7inches inside (& 5-7 inches can't hold 5 liters of fuel!!)?

. In the Ikon, its a standard thing for us - between 5 to 7 litres always go in after the first cut-off

Hei Zappo..... i love to own a Turbo Indica, but what to do :( cant do it now. I meant chennai traffic. The cab driver tow hom i was talking told that he was drving that cab only for the last three years, but it was not his own one.

Two more figures -

1. Expressway dash to Pune (touching 160 kmph, mostly on 100-120 kmph) with AC and all that followed by dash to Aurangabad (touching 120 kmph, but mostly at 80-90 kmph - blame the bad roads, intermittent AC usage), HP Power --- 13 kmpl
2. Sensible driving all the way from Aurangabad to Mumbai (No AC, in that cold yuo could be kidding me) Reliance petrol - 16 kmpl.

More later. I am a bit taken aback.
