I miss my M800 ..... it was peppy, very frugal....all for such a low price.

SWIFT ---> Whatz your Best Fuel Efficiency ?

hey guys i was wondering if you guys can put out your best numbers for the swift...cause i recently checked mine on a 800 Km Drive Report ,i got an average of 18 Kmpl on the Highway wit A.C and speed is around 90-110kmph..i have'nt crossed above 110kmph...

In bangalore city i used to get around 12kmpl....

If someone who tested their cars on how efficent it is on fuel...it would be great to know.

Santro DX - 70,000 kms

Recently, on highway while going to Surat it gave me 21 kmpl and while returning i was ripping so gave a bit less 19.6x kmpl
City I dont know but must be around 13 kmpl (not sure). If driven properly then will give more.

I've got 11.3-11.6 kmpl, in city driving, with AC on 100%.

On regular highway drives, I've calculated the mileage at 16.5-16.8 kmpl, AC on 100% and consistent speeds between 100-140 kmph.

Details:

Petrol: only fill up at Shell on Mysore Road, regular unleaded. Never at any other bunk.

Tyres: 195/55 R15 Hankook Ventus K102.

Tyre pressure: 30 psi all-around

No. of people onboard: 1(me) about 95% and 4 ppl(incl me) 5% of the time.

Driving Style: Cruising, 5th gear all the time, never rev the car.

City/Highway % : 50-50

Total kms on odo - 800

Services: 1st free service from RNS

I've also noticed that my Swift Vxi is more responsive than my friend's Vxi, which has stock tyres and is as sparingly used as mine. We suspect his dealer(Pratham) might have tuned it for mileage during 1st service - which incidentally is very similar to my figures in spite of having OEM tyres and similar driving characteristics.

The first thing I noticed after after the first service of my Swift VXi (stock tyres) was the improvement in response. The service advisor told me its because of tuning the engine. And now I noticed even the FE has increased (11.7 to 12.7 kmpl) under similar driving conditions!

Infractions: 0/1 (10)

2006 Baleno with stage II mods :

City FE : 14.7~16.3 in city depending on the place where i fill fuel and also my mood (which is sedate 2000 rpm shifts 80% of the time) .. When pushed pedal to metal gives 12~13 ..

Highway : 13+ mainly due to spirited driving like long drives with fellow members etc ..

Track Days : 8kmpl , complete pedal to metal and much more (just goes to show how DRIVING STYLE changes the figures drastically) ..

All in all laughing all the way to the bank ..

Maruti Gypsy King (MG413W, w/carb.), 1998 -

In City (delhi / NCR) : 8.5~8.8 (best 9.5 in winters)
HIghway : Best 10.8 (probably cos always running at top speed and keeping the short gearing working hard!)

Opel Corsa 1.4 , 2003 -

In City (delhi / NCR) : 9.2~10.8
HIghway : Best 13.1
