| ![]() Back from a long drive of 480 km in my Verna 1.6 CRDI. 20 km hill drive, 15 km of broken roads, rest well maintained highways. Two adults, 1 kid, light luggage, 100% AC, speed around 100 kmph with short bursts upto 130-150 kmph. FE by tank full method- 18.8 km/lit. I think it is quite good. Thanks |

| ![]() Yesterday I drove from Ahmedabad to Thane. It was a fuel efficiency maximizing drive. There was a hige jam just before the turn into Godhbandar Road. Till that point, the distance and FE were 504.4 km and 20.2 kmpl. Due to this jam, the FE went down and by the time I reached home, the distance and FE were 522.7 km and 19.9 kmpl. Car - Honda City 2010, 3 people and some luggage. AC was on except for the first 15 km. MID FE numbers are usually on the higher side by up to 20%. | ![]() The Cruze was returning 13.3 kmpl. I decided to extract the maximum from each drop of diesel, so a sedate styled(1000-2000 rpm) for most of the time except when overtaking, resulted in a FE of 18.1 kmpl. Average FE values at Valparai to Aliyar dam: 21.x kmpl. Valparai to Coimbatore:18.1 kmpl. |

| ![]() Vehical : Swift vdi Usually does 670 kms in 33 litres of diesel. This is in city with 100% AC on. On the highways, car travels around 780 to 800 kms in 33-35 litres of diesel. |

| ![]() My 2009 City ivtec returns a mileage of around 11 kmpl in Delhi summers with AC switched on all the full time. As its is winter now, the figure has risen to 12 kmpl. The Swift Vdi is returning around 19-20 kmpl these days because of no AC. Trying hard to take the figure to around 22 kmpl -- the figure my friend is getting from his Dzire Vdi. Both the cars are driven in the city with absolutely no highway running. P.S. The friends Dzire is about one year old while my swift is over 5 years old. Cheers! | ![]() My 2010 Swift Ldi ~16 kmpl with 100% AC on (city) ~17-17.5 kmpl with no AC in winters (city) ~17-18 kmpl on highways because I like enjoying the turbo kick a little too much on open roads |

| ![]() Tata Nano 2010 with 7000 on the ODO. The car returned an average of 19.5 KMPL tank fill to tank fill in a recent 900 Km trip driven with 90% ac on and 2 adults one child and luggage. The route itself was not ideal, half of it being the BLR Mysore highway given to heavy traffic and a lot of road humps and rest being bad roads and ghat sections where you cannot get on to the 4th (overdrive) gear. |

| ![]() My 2011 Tata Manza Quadrajet returns ~13.0 kmpl in my daily office run (20 km in ~30 min) in Thane city traffic with 100% AC and most of the driving in second and third gear. On long trips on national highways, it varies between 16 to 20 kmpl with AC on all the time and car fully occupied with passengers and luggage in the boot. |
