Just completed a 650km round trip (Delhi-Nainital-Delhi) on Sunday.

Car: Kizashi
5 people on board, boot full with luggage. A/C on at all times.
FE: 11.4 (MID), tankfull method gave 10.8 kmpl.
Could have easily gotten more but due to huge traffic jams throught out the way while going, the car stood still for almost 2.5 hours with AC on.

I couldn't figure out why the Getz is low on mileage. Also, the variation in City and Higway on CNG is extreme *confusing*.

Traffic: Moderate.
AirCon: 100% of the time on Dzire, 80% on Getz.
If you are running on stock tyre, Getz (1.1) should return 11-13 kmpl on AC in Noida traffic. I was also getting 8-10 kmpl from Getz once upon a time but after learning correct gear shifts and a general engine tuning exercise at Safardarzung Hyundai workshop in Gurgaon, mileage improved by 3-4 kmpl!!

As for large difference between city/highway mileage, it could be related to gear shifts. You could be driving in top gear on highway but in city you are not able to shift that early (4th at 40, 5th at 50-60) on CNG.

I am also driving Getz Prime 1.1 and getting 11 kmpl on 100% AC with moderate traffic in Gurgaon, with a Tyre upsize of 170/70R13.

Off Topic: This was first summer for car in NCR and AC really struggled. How is it at your side?

If that's the 1.1 engined Getz, there is something wrong, you should get 18 kmpkg with AC in City & 25 kmpkg on highways. Even the numbers on petrol are bad, as it should easily manage 12+ kmpl IMO.

I get better numbers from the same same engine my Santro Xing.

You should get your car checked at a good independent garage.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Ford fiesta 1.4 tdci

Bangalore to Coimbatore(350 km): with 100% AC@daytime, speeds 80-110 kmph, 3 people with full boot.

Coimbatore sub-urban runs: 130 km, driver alone without AC.

Coimbatore to Bangalore: 2 lane highway with a bit of ghat climbing at 3k rpm (for about 20 minutes). Intermittent AC use, 3 people with full boot. 70-80 kmph.

Gulped in 38.9 litres, which equates to 350+130+320 km = 800/38.9= 20.56 kmpl.

Tyres - 175/70R13 by GoodYear.
Got the AC serviced couple of weeks back and it chills me even if I keep it on 1-regulator speed.

It's a Getz Prime 1.3 GLS and is indeed giving a lot less mileage.

Off Topic: Over that, recently I changed the CNG advancer(as they call it), and it did boost the performance back to quite what the car gives on petrol, but dies quite a bit number of times on CNG when I lift my foot off the gas pedal.

Great FE there, which is the app used for the calculations. Noticed that it is AT version. Brilliant FE
Did you check Full tank to Full tank method for FE

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Car - Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi.
City - Bangalore.
Return a mileage of anything between 12.5 - 14.5, depending on traffic. AC on always.
During highway runs to Cochin, I get about 18 KMPL.
Mileage calculated on tankfull to tankfull.
Noticed that when filling up at shell, i get about 1kmpl more compared to other bunks.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I have owned and driven five cars and below are my numbers:

Fiat Siena, petrol - 9
Ford Fusion, petrol - 10
Honda Civic - 10
Skoda Luara, DSG deisel - 8.5
Mercedes C200, petrol - 7

All these are usually with at least 2 people, in pretty busy or slow moving traffic. My running is 95% within the Mumbai city suburbs. I use the AC almost always.

Why don't you just search with these keywords in this thread? Or just google with keywords like "teambhp", the thread title (just some keywords from the thread's title), and what exactly you want to find.
