What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Sandeep - as I mentioned - after reaching my office I stopped and saw the indicator and clicked a pic. So this figure is for these particular 17 kms only - the other avg indicator which says (2) in the upper right hand corner of the display is stuck between 5 - 5.5 always....

What I get when I check on a tankful to tankful basis - varies from 17 - 19 kmpl.

I get an average of 11.5-12 from my car. NC...that offer for a driver is still open!

I drive a 2003 model Siena 1.6ELX.
Petrol: Regular Unleaded
City Mileage with A/C: 10.5kmpl
Highway Mileage with A/C: 13.5kmpl @ full load
Recent Tyre upsizingdone: 185/65/R14 tubeless from 175/70/R14 tube tyres - no impact on mileage observed thus far

Alto VXi 1.1 2002 model:
City 15kmpl with 50% AC usage
Highway 16-17kmpl

Esteem LXi 2003 model:
City 14-15kmpl with 50% AC
Highway 16-17kmpl

That is great and explains the success of the diesel skodas, despite sometimes high maintenance!

Esteem: Definitely need to get engine, etc. checked.
Ikon: Maybe too heavy a right foot? The 1.6 is not really known for it's FE. But you should get 8 - maybe needs a service.

Santro erlx gives me 15kmpl regularly within city with AC on 90% of the time,regular sedate driving(50 kmph in 5th gear 60% of time).
Highways its more like 17kmpl when I push it hard a keep the speed in the 80-120 kmph range.Sedate highway driving gives me 19kmpl.

Fuel- Regular unleaded(Hp or BPCL)

I tried shell for the first time are reading some posts here...
Here are the results for first tank fill from Shell..

Total kms done - 520, Fuel consumed - 25 (+-1 ltr)
Economy - 20.8 (+-1) kmpl.
Terrain: 270kms mysore trip, remaining bumper-bumper b'lore city traffic.

Bumper-bumper I mean, my average speed for office commute is at 20-25 kmph for 11 kms one way :(

Looks good. I think it's mainly because of mysore -tip..excellent road all along and didn't push the car this time. Would like to measure for city driving next and post results here. I expect it to be around 15-16 kmpl.

my 2005 honda city 1.5idsi gives 10km/l with ac in the city and manages around 15km/l with ac on the highway this is the best i ve got on my city really pissed of with the milage as this car should be giving around 13km/l in city and 18km/l on the highway. the worst i ve got is 6 km/l under hard driving

for ikon start using system-d addictive available at hp outlets, i was recently getting 8-8.5 from ikon 1.6 2002, but it has improved and now its 10.

my new vtec gives me 12-13 in mixed driving conditions.

I wanted to post my Petra's figures from long time. But some how forgot.
Anyway,

City driving with 50% AC - 11 Kmpl.

This has become very consistent now.
I regularly fill at Shell (alters between Normal and Super) and it is always full tank.I could never do any real highway trip so far, barring few Bang-Mysore-Kannur trips in which more than half of the distance is always bad.

This gives around 12.5-13.5 Kmpl with 80% AC

By the way, my tyre change (that was some 6 months back) from 175/65/R14to 195/60/R14 (and alloys) did not have any impact on the mileage figures.
