Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Tata Safari 2.2 L Dicor Vx 2008 4WD ( ODO @ 1.32 lakhs)

City : 8.5 - 9 kmpl

Highway : 10- 10.5 Kmpl

Average : around 9.5 kmpl

Maruthi Ritz petrol 2011

City : 12-13 kmpl

Highway : 16-17 kmpl

Average : 15 kmpl

All these figures are with 100% use of Air Conditioner. I expected better fuel efficiency for safari ( most of the ownership reviews in our forum points to 12-13 kmpl figure. But the best I could manage is 11 kmpl...may be due to the fact that it is 4WD and 1.3 Lakh km old.)

Same engine in my heavier Fiesta July 15 gave me 12.5 in heavy traffic and around 18 pn hoghway before getting mobile changed that I got done much earlier at around 2.5k kms.
After it it keeps increasing. 13.5, 14.4, 15.5 in similar pathetic Bangalore traffic. She has touched 5k kms and I am expecting much better figures on highways now.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Mazda 3 SP25 GT, 2.5 litre Petrol 185 bhp, 6 Speed automatic. The car is still under running in and has only done around 800 odd kilometers. The figures will definitely improve as in run in more.

City ~ 12 kmpl
Highway ~ 15-16 kmpl

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I use a windows app to calculate fuel efficiency, My Car. According to that app my EcoSport diesel gives 16.58 km/l average efficiency, while the best was 20 km/l.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

WagonR VXi k10 which has run ~26.5k kms returns around 15+ kmpl regularly in city usage, 100% AC on. Now, with the winter creeping in, AC usage has fallen to about 20-30% and the last tankful returned 16.5kmpl in the city. Each tankful lasts 12-15 days, 410-450 kms and mostly includes one ORR run too.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Got 22.73 kmpl during the last tankful (Polo GT TDI). Proof:

What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?-wp_20151204_18_12_18_pro.jpg

Cruise control has definitely helped; I set it at 82-83 kmph. Plus, winters are here and I expect better numbers!
