This is pretty good efficiency from the City!
I was hoping that my Fiesta would return a better number. But considering the traffic situation in Pune these days, I believe my numbers are decent enough.

Well, the picture speaks for itself.
Model: VW Vento 1.6 TDI

Drive: Sedate drive between Villupuram and Chennai Tambaram at 75-85 Kmph with minimal braking as an expectant mom was on board.

What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?-imageuploadedbyteambhp1459489911.272162.jpg

The Maximum average figure went up to 29.5 Kmpl, but didn't ask my wife to snap as I was in thick traffic.
The return saw the efficiency at 26.4 Kmpl with excess traffic in highway with no room to go above 90 Kmph 90% of the time and with speeds of 100-105 Kmph for the remaining 10%.

I am very novice about car. I expected more FE according to the opinion of others when I bought this Japan used car six months back. Though we have very heavy traffic here in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In the evening from my office to home it takes more than 2 hours to travel 12 km. Someone has suggested me to check wheel alignment and check the engine. Should I?
Welcome to Team Bhp. It is great to have a user from the lovely city of Dhaka to give us another perspective. Your car is supposed to have a kmpl of over 26 so your mileage is definately very low. Have you had the car checked by a service centre? Even in dense traffic, I would expect at least 12 to 15 kmpl unless you are revving it really hard.

Thanks for welcoming me. It feels very homely here even though I am from a different country. May be because both the car market and traffic conditions are similar in these two neighboring countries.

About the FE, I still haven't gone for servicing as the seller has changed all the fluids six months back and since then it ran about 2200 miles. It's time for a proper servicing i guess.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Ford Figo TDCi ZXi 2013
Pre-owned / purchased in Dec'15
Has run 15,000 km at present

Highway run (NH4 / Bangalore to Davangere on a Sunday morning) with 3 Adults and driving at 80-110 speeds (mostly at 100 kmph & AC on & off). Tyre pressure kept at 36/41 PSI (as recommended for full load). We were suspecting if the fuel gauge is misbehaving when we reached our destination.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My newly acquired Ford Aspire which has run only 2000 kms till date returned an excellent mileage of 20.6 recently. This was calculated using the Tankful method. One thing worth noting here is that the average fuel economy as per the MID was 19.6 during the said tankful. Has anyone on the forum experienced this?

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Tata Zest XMS Petrol (Revotron); Bought in Feb-2016
ODO reading: 1050 kms (470kms in city and 580kms in highways)
MID shows average fuel efficiency of 14.9 kmpl.
Driving mode split is about: 300kms in City mode; Rest 750kms in Eco mode; Not used Sports mode yet. Haven't done tankful-to-tankful calculation yet. Planning to do it next time.

Highway FE

1. Bengaluru-Mysuru round trip
Overall distance covered: 340 kms
90% Eco + 10% City mode, 80% AC on
Fuel efficiency as per MID: 17.5 kmpl

2. Bengaluru-Lepakshi-Bengaluru trip
Overall distance covered: 285 kms
60% Eco + 40% City mode, 100% AC on
Fuel efficiency as per MID: 21.0 kmpl

I'm a newbie to driving as well as Team-BHP. Haven't seen any post by Zest owners in this thread so far. Comments/ feedback from fellow-BHPians is most welcome.

I think you forgot to mention TDCi suffix looking at your car mileage
Mine Ford Figo driven around 5000+ Km currently giving 19-20(avg city + highway)
