Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I use Drivvo to monitor all my vehicles. Very neat and user-friendly app. And my daily commute from Noida to Greater Noida is 80% highway driving. Hence i get to see fantastic FE figures.

last time around, my Baleno 1.2 happily managed actual FE (measured by Drivvo through tankful to tankful method) of 20.05 KMPL! MID was showing 21.3 equating to just 1.2 kmpl error in MID.
the wife's Nano has seen probably one of the highest possible recorded on TBHP of 26.1 KMPL with the MID showing 27.5 (with me at the wheel.)

I am definitely an 'Eco mode' driver and subconsciously keep throttle feather light but do on rare occasions let all the ponies out of the stable.

Cheers.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I completed 1600 kms on the Verna (900 on the highway and 700 in bumper to bumper BLR traffic) and it shows 15.9 kpl for these 1600 kms.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I have completed 30K kms in my diesel Tiago. I get around 16-17 kmpl with moderate to heavy traffic in the city. In highways, depending on the speed and driving style, it varies from 19-25 kmpl. The best I have achieved was 27.3 kmpl.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

This is the latest tankfull from my Abarth Punto. Except for the last 65 odd km or so, all were on the highways. The last 65 km took me 4+ hrs on the congested Mumbai streets. Got an FE of 21.38 km/l. This is not the highest figure, but it is more the exception than the norm. Usually I'm happy to get 14-15 on the highways and 10-12 in the city.

PS- Forgot to take a pic of the mid FE figure, but it was around 19.xx km/l!

City / Ciaz, if driven sedately. There are not much options in this bracket which gives "very very good highway mileage".

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Ford Figo 1.5Diesel.
Pune Goa trip.
Onwards journey including around 100kms in goa. Got 17.4kmpl as per Instrument Cluster.
Due to an incident, I was babying the car post half way mark in the onward journey as well as in the entire return journey.
Return journey saw max speed up-to 100. I was doing 80-90most of the time.
Got 22.8kmpl as per instrument cluster. :-D
100% AC.
In our traffic of 12kms daily running, I get 13-14kmpl.
Note : I am running the wider 195section 15inchers.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

On a recent highway trip (Delhi - Jaipur), my 2014 Verna Petrol Automatic gave me 15.5 kmpl, which is the best figure I've gotten so far. And I wouldn't call it sedate driving, I pressed the accelerator hard a few times. In my daily commute to office in moderate to heavy traffic, I get 11- 12, whereas in bumper to bumper traffic I get 9 - 10 kmpl.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Crysta Automatic is giving me 10-11kmpl in Navi Mumbai. I am driving with an ultra light foot in eco mode. This car is so powerful that even with a light foot and eco mode it can easily keep up with traffic on the brisk palm beach road.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Ertiga's fuel efficiency recorded was 17.35 kmpl which included 10 -12 kms of super slow drive on 23rd December with max speed of 5 kmph in this stretch, starting from Pune's 1st toll both till the ghat section was over. Which was with 5 people on-board and car doing constant 100-120 with 80% drive on Highway.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Took delivery of Ignis Delta AMT Petrol few days back. I drive sedately during the initial run-in period. I had reset the average fuel economy figure manually yesterday morning and embarked on a 20 km ride which included 50% highway & 50% city driving (was NOT bumper to bumper). I had noticed that the average fuel economy figure was rising steadily. It went over 24 km/liter when I parked in the morning.

While returning back in the afternoon, the average fuel economy figure kept rising. These numbers were unbelievable so kept the mobile ready, and when it hit 26 kmpl I stopped on one side and clicked this picture.

The ARAI certified FE for Ignis Petrol is less than 21. So this 26 figure can't be true. However it did put a smile on my face

What do you make of it? Could it be that the system is still calibrating since it is a new car?

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

2010 Toyota Corolla 4-speed AT

City (with slightly off peak commute times): 9.6-9.9 kpl
Highways (4-lane): Mostly 14.x, Best was 15.7 on a Hosur-Kolhapur run with a 20 minute jam at Nelamangala
Highways (2-lane): 11.x to 13.x depending on traffic, speeds and terrain driven

ACC is set at 25 when alone and 24 with full house.

For a petrol, City CVT and Vento TSI should give good FE if driven well. Honda petrols deliver when hypermiled. Hyundai in general is not known for FE (you already should know since you own one). At best you are looking at a 15-17 kpl figure, which is very good for a petrol.
