Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

VW Polo 1.2 MT run 9k kms.
Took it for a 200 kms highway drive out of which 150 kms was sedate driving not crossing 3k rpms and the rest was much higher.
Overall efficiency was 14.8 kmpl and climbing till I reached city roads.

Fiat Punto Evo 90 hp run almost 49k kms. My ride is lowered and remapped.

City FE : My office is 20 kms from my home in Pune and normally I get 12-14 km/ltr with AC and 16-17 without AC. Worst has been 10.8 km/ltr while the best has been 18 km/ltr.

Highway FE : In my recent Pune-goa -Pune I trip I averaged 15.5 km/ltr with 4 people on board and luggage. I was driving with heavy foot and that weekend being the Christmas weekend the traffic was also not helping.
Best I have got in highway trips is 19.5 km/ltr which normally happens in the pune Mumbai expressway

What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Honda Brio S(O) (2012):
City - 12.5 to 13kmpl
Highway - 17-19kmpl
Best: Pune-Goa-Pune 20.3kmpl
(Ac always on except when stationary)

Honda Jazz VX iDtec (2015)
City - 19-20kmpl
Highway - 24-25kmpl
Best - Bangalore-Pune 26.7kmpl
(Ac always on except when stationary)

Note: Numbers are tank full to tank full method. MID numbers are higher by 1-1.5kmpl for both cars.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

MS Vitara Brezza 2017.

City: 19 Km/L
Highway: 22 Km/L

My car is just four months and 6000 Kms old. This FE is calculated by full tank method. RTFE indicator sometimes shows 30Kmpl, which is not realistic. MASS guys are saying that my FE will improve after 10000 KM service. For me, these figures are very satisfactory.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Renault Duster 85PS 2016
City: 14 Km/L in Kolkata and 12 Km/L in Bangalore
Highway: 14.8 Km/L in recent Kolkata-Bangalore drive

16 months old car - with 12K on the odo. Doing 90Kms daily in Bangalore now.
Calculated using both car MID and Fuelog( full tank to full tank method). Satisfied considering the pathetic traffic condition and stop-dash situation

That's impressive. RTFE can realistically go above 30, for example if you are coasting without throttle input. I think Maruti have put an upper limit of 30 for RTFE. I have seen figures like 90 or more while using Torque and OBD

Yes, that's true. It is mentioned in MS Vitara Brezza's manual that upper limit of RTFE indictor is 30Km/L. Surprisingly, MS Dzire's upper limit is 50Km/L, I came across many proud MS Dzire owners at MASS, who claimed that their car's FE is more than 45Km/L

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My XUV 500 W6 Dec'2011 used to give me 13-14 KMPL in city and 16-16.5 on Highway till 82Kms on OEM Bridgestone Dueler tyres.

Then I moved to Maxxis Bravo 771 AT last year. It has severely impacted my fuel economy. Now I get 11-12 in City and a maximum of 14 KMPL on highway...Completed today 93000 kms. Tankful to Tankful method.

No issue with Air-Filters, System-D as well as recently used Abro DI-502. It runs absolutely smooth, almost no engine noise but seems like moving from Bridgestone to Maxxis and HT to AT impacted fuel economy.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I own a Hyundai Xcent Petrol, from 2015, with an ODO reading of 20,700 - 4th service due in 2 months.
FE in City (tankful method): 13-14 Kmpl
FE in Highways (tankful method): 16-17 Kmpl

FE in City was calculated while driving with a mix of bumper to bumper traffic and bit of highway (in GST).
FE in Highways was calculated during our recent trips to Yercaud, Pondichery, etc.

Vitara Brezza ZDi+, own since July 2016 with ODO reading of 18,500 kms. Getting FE of 18.5 kmpl during this winter with 10% AC usage. Tankful method till auto cut. Usage for daily commute from Gurgaon to Delhi on NH8 and local usage with bumper to bumper traffic for 30% of the total distance covered. Refilled after 800 odd kms since last filling.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Ford Figo 1.4TDCI (old model/2013)
FE in city (BLR/normal traffic of 10-12km/hr; No silk board junction like jams): 12.5kmpl.
FE on highway (NH4/BLR-PUNE): 18.5kmpl.

60% of driving at higher speeds. 40% of driving at 80-100kmph range. I think it is possible to extract more if driven better (i.e., sedate uniform speeds in that 80-100kmph or 2000-2500rpm range)

Planning for another trip soon (800km round trip) on this stretch from BLR. Hope to take it easy and stick to this 80-100kmph speeds to check what is really possible.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Tata Safari Storme 400Nm, only 2k kms old, getting 12-13kmpl in city driving without AC. Not getting chance to take it for a long drive. This calculation is with tankful method.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I am reporting 8 months and 13000 km after changing my Polo which I lost in an accident for a pre-owned 27000km run Nissan Terrano 107 HP tune.
Immediately on purchase I got 13 to 14 kmpl in city, and 19 kmpl on highway. After about 3000km of driving I made a note of all the issues I noticed, like brake dragging etc.
At this time I got all the issues in my list resolved, shifted over to synthetic oil, new oe air filters got the wheel alignment done and purchased a pair of new tyres too. Originally the spare was un used, while rear tyres had negligible wear, but front ones were having less than 4mm depth which were replaced.
Now my in city efficiency is ranging between 14.5 and 16.3 km/Lit where as highway efficiency is between 19 and 22 km/lit. My highway seeds are usually below 95kph which is 2000rpm in 6th. During rains when I was a bit slower 70-80 kph range, the highway efficiency had climbed to 24 km/lit.
In same conditions Polo used to return a bit more ie 15 to 17.5 in city, but lesser on highway always in 19-20 range.
