For my 2020 Creta Diesel AT, I have been getting around 14-15 kmpl in the city and between 21-23 kmpl on highways at speeds ranging from 80-100 kph. I am quite satisfied with this so far.

Below are some statistics with regards to the fuel efficiency of the car. Somehow in the last few tank full, the FE has been dipping down. Have not been driving very aggressively however would like to know your thoughts on the numbers below.

Highways: 15-17 kmpl, with cruise control set between 80-90 kmph

Both with A/C usage for 70% of the time

I am using Nexon XZA+ Diesel AMT, it gives around 15-16 kmpl in City(Blr) and around 22-23 kmpl in highway. Below pic from my recent trip to Goa, normally the indicator is 2-3 kmpl off from actual tank to tank method.

Total Fuel Consumed till now: ~2800 liters. at a total cost of approx 1.95 lacs.

Average Fuel efficiency over these years: ~19kmpl.

Average cost per km : Rs 3.6

The Mileage shown in MID is usually around the same as the tank-full method with a variation of +/- 0.5-1km/l.

Current odo at 81,000+ km.
Highway riding fuel efficiency seldom below 22-23 km/l.
City riding range between 15-20km/l.
Air-conditioning ON almost always.

Ford Ecosport Ecoboost Jul 2017 mfd:
Under normal conditions have achieved the foll.:
City : 9 kmpl
Highway : 16 kmpl (on one trip to Pune)
Have not driven on highway ever since lock down last March and most trips have been <5 kms. Am getting 7 kmpl.

Baleno Zeta CVT Aug 18 mfd:
City : 11.5 kmpl (normal), 8.5 (lockdown short trip)
Highway : 18 kmpl (on a trip to Pune last week)

2009 model Fabia, petrol, already ran 44k.
Driving conditions:
1) Always AC on.
2) Almost never rev to redline and never cross 80-100.
3) No hard braking.
4) Sedate and very relaxed driving style.
5) Always slow down on bad patches.
6) Shell fuel only.
7) Synthetic oil.
8) yokohama earth 1 tyes.
9) Max 3 people in the car.

Nothing can beat the fuel efficiency of a Tin-can (Technical name: Baleno)

Type: Petrol, manual gearbox.

I am able to get 20+ kmpl on few trips. AC is always ON unless it is a chilly Dec - Jan 4AM early morning drive.
