Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My 2013 Dzire diesel gave a FE of 8.6kmpl as per MID 2 days back for a distance of about 15kms on WEH from Bandra to Goregaon! Thanks to heavy rains, there was a massive jam on the highway. No matter how bad the traffic, it usually manages double digit FE.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Have been driving Swift Dzire ZDI since 23rd Dec 2012 the day I bought the car. Attached is the trend maintained in aCar (tank full to tank full) since I bought the car. Average is around 22 KM/L which is consistent with the MDI.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Duster Diesel 85 PS

All with AC ON

Sedate Drive: 18-20 KMPL (With some turbo and maxing out at 110 KMPH)

Enthusiastic Highway Drive: 13-15 KMPL (120+ speeds)

City Drive with Bumper-Bumper: 10-12 KMPL

Usually, a mix of all i get upwards of 16KMPL on a given month and Duster has never disappointed me with regards to FE.

I own an Altroz XZ diesel. I don't drive it in the city much. So I have not calculated it at all.
On the highway, I get very close to whatever you have mentioned.

5th Gen Honda City ZX CVT. Solo drive of 550km door to door Pune-Solapur-Pune over the weekend. AC on 100% of the time. Consistent speed of above 100kmph but less than 115kmph - very hard to resist on that smooth, empty tarmac. Cruise control whenever possible. 16.5kmpl. TF to TF.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I suddenly seem to have discovered the cruise control button on my SX+ 1.0l DCT Venue petrol. The extensive use of this button has drastically improved my fuel efficiency.

- The recent run to Vellore for 209kms delivered 18.8km/l.
- A run to IKEA for 47kms delivered 19km/l.
- Compared to another run of 540kms where I did not engage cruise control even once and got a 14km/l efficiency.

Oh, this is interesting. There doesnt seem to be a significant difference in the Petrol vs Hybrid mileage in the city for the City.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Linea TJet provided economy of 17kmpl(tankful to tankful) in my recent run to Hyderabad from Pune.

A/C usage - 80-90% of total duration.
Speed - I maintained speed of around 95kmph with some burst of 100 plus kmph.
Number of passengers- 2 adult with some luggage.
Air pressure- Nitrogen with 35 psi front /33 psi rear.

Trivia- FCA’s official figures for Tjet is 15.7kmpl.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Seeing this thread is making me wonder what I'm doing wrong!

My Zest 90 PS QJet has only once shown me 20+ kmpl on the MIL. This was on a Pune to Mumbai run (via expressway) with just two on board.

Otherwise I have only managed ~18 kmpl on any highway run which further drops to ~16 kmpl in Pune City.

Odo is at 55xxx. This thread makes me feel this is abnormally low for the kind of driving I do (seadate-ish)!!
