That's very commendable, even the new age turbo engines struggles very hard to achieve those figures.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

XL6 Facelift 1.5L K15C 6AT:
Efficiency varies drastically based on the use of the AC and the Mumbai traffic takes a serious toll on the car's fuel efficiency.

City( Medium Traffic, includes some steep inclines as well): 9 - 10.5 Kmpl

City( Mumbai traffic, stop and go, bumper to bumper): 6.5 - 10 Kmpl

Driving to the South Bombay on weekends (smooth flow of the traffic on WEH, light foot on the gas pedal & occasionally flooring the gas pedal for overtakes well within the speed limit): 13 - 17 Kmpl

Long Highway Drives(Including ghats, i.e. Lonavala, Kasara Ghat, and a mix of highway cruising): 15 - 18 Kmpl

Here 18 Kmpl is a rare case scenario, but Suzuki Claims the car to get a fuel efficiency of 20.27Kmpl, which I have not achieved yet

This is the case with every Kia car it seems. For reference my Sonet (D-AT) which has run around 49000km by now always has a deviation of 2.5km - 3km from MID to tank full method. Same scenario with my friend who has a Diesel IMT Seltos.

Right now my Sonet is showing 15.2 kmpl in MID for around 300 km run since last fuel up but when I will do a tank full method on next fill up it will come upto 12.5kmpl. This is all within NCR drive with AC always on at 23 degree.

Also, I always use Auto cut off while filling up so there is no scope of miscalculation between fill ups.

Innova Hycross Hybrid

Car has run 33,000 Kms till date and FE I got is 18 Kmpl (T2T) during last refill while the MID showed 16.7 Kmpl. The car was driven within the city limits and on ORR as well.

Here are the stats:

Total Kms driven: 334 Kms
Fuel Filled: 18.6l

Our another car, 2014 Honda City iDTEC, run more than 1,86,000 Kms, gave 17 Kmpl (T2T) during last refill and was driven within the city limits and the MID showed similar figures.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I've just been reading many of these numbers and I'm frankly surprised how far ahead diesels are in the FE game. I drove my mate's Seltos Diesel earlier this month and he was averaging 15.2kmpl on city roads of Vadodara.

On our '17 Honda City (petrol) we managed to get 15.5-16.5 kmpl a couple of days ago on NH27 from Kota to Vadodara. Very pleased with it.
Also have a '03 WagonR which is a project for me, once I have more time, its currently averaging around 10.8 kmpl in the city, last I checked.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Figo Diesel - 2011 1.4 TDCI.

In city: 13 - 15kmpl
On Highways with more than 2 occupants and luggage: 15 - 17 kmpl (speeds around 90-110 kmph)

Now comes the interesting part. Since i had posted the sale ad in classifields, I wanted to really check how much efficient can a 1.4 lac run car be. Did a highway run to Mysore recently and used the opportunity to test it out. I was the sole person in the car. Filled air to 33 psi. Filled fuel to brim and started the journey. Kept the RPM around 1500 and maintained speeds around 60 - 70 kmph speeds throughout. After exiting the highway, filled fuel to the brim again and did the math. Guess how much FE I got? 27 kmpl

After ending the FE experiment, went back to my normal speeds .
