City( Medium Traffic, includes some steep inclines as well): 9 - 10.5 Kmpl
City( Mumbai traffic, stop and go, bumper to bumper): 6.5 - 10 Kmpl
Driving to the South Bombay on weekends (smooth flow of the traffic on WEH, light foot on the gas pedal & occasionally flooring the gas pedal for overtakes well within the speed limit): 13 - 17 Kmpl
Long Highway Drives(Including ghats, i.e. Lonavala, Kasara Ghat, and a mix of highway cruising): 15 - 18 Kmpl
Here 18 Kmpl is a rare case scenario, but Suzuki Claims the car to get a fuel efficiency of 20.27Kmpl, which I have not achieved yet |
I have bought new XL6 with the K15C engine TC automatic in September. It has completed 2000 kms already.
Tank to Tank mileage for daily 80kms run to office with Auto AC set at 26C in Delhi NCR is 15.
For distances shorter than 10kms, efficiency varies between 11-13.
I have also noticed that the rear AC significantly impacts the overall efficiency- to the tune of 2kmpl even with no change in load. I once drove to office with rear AC running by mistake. Upon checking the MID, efficiency for that day with everything else remaining same was 2kmpl lesser than my everyday mileage.
BTW, my colleague has manual Kia Seltos NA petrol and over the same route to office with AC gives 13 kmpl. I get 15 on the same route in my automatic XL6. Maruti certainly knows it's customer base.
Hope this helps potential buyers. |
