City run mileage on duster. Max speed short burst of 80kmph.
Car run with urgency because of slow vehicles in right lane. Route is old airport road till kadugodi.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Around 16.8kmpl in my 2004 Wagon R on a recent Hyderabad-Pune road trip (1100).

It was a mix of good and bad roads. One epic traffic jam had me crossing 50 kms in around 4 hours. During this jam the Car was always on with the AC running.

Over all for the trip, 40% of the driving was done with AC off, blower on with windows up.

Car completed 70 k kms during the trip.

On a trip home yesterday. Aggressive driving, shifting at 3.5k rpm most of the times, speeds within 140 kmph, 3 toll gates and moderate traffic. ACC always on, expressway for 75% and the rest state highway.
Car : Fiat Punto 1.3

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I am not sure how correct these figures are since I have seen them for the first time and have not confirmed with the Tank Full method. The driving conditions were more or less similar to test conditions. I have been coming to office using the Pune Bangalore Highway in the afternoon and leaving post midnight so hardly any traffic. I have been driving at a moderate speed of 60-70 Km/H with no AC.

Forgot to mention it is a Punto E+ 1.4 and the data is for 4 days of office commuting using the same route and more or less the same driving conditions each day.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

This is what my Skoda Superb Petrol MT gives on my Aurangabad - Pune runs. Ac off and windows rolled up. With Ac on it drops to around 16. These are MFD figures and tankful to tankful method these figures drop to around 15 with 60% highway and the rest city.
The speeds range between 80 to 120.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Managed to check the mileage of my Pulsar 150 ('06 make @ 73K kms) & was surprised to find that it is surprisingly frugal in bad NCR traffic & bad roads, as I could run the bike for more than 400 kms for Rs.500 petrol (approx 7.5 liters). This means I am still getting a mileage of 55 kmpl from my old steed despite managing speeds of 70-80 kmph in stretches & 50-60 kmph generally.

With my similarly run Santro Zing managing 22 kmpl on CNG, & bro's RETB350 running 40-45 km for every liter of petrol, I guess should be extremely happy with my fleet.

I am seriously looking for buying a new car for the family (MUV/ SUV), but, my proposals are regularly vetoed by parents for no reason .

Are not these instantaneous mileage calculations? Why else were the photos taken while running and not stationary?
