I have managed 26.2 kmpl (MID figure)in my vento 1.6 tdi the day when I bought and drove it from Coimbatore to Neyveli doing 95 - 100 kmph and averaging 75 kmph 😀alas wasn't able to achieve that figure after 1st service though most have said that FE increases after first service.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Recently went on a longish tour in my 2014 Honda City VMT (Petrol) with speeds in the bracket of 70-90 km/hr. 75% of the drive was on cruise control with 100% air conditioner on set on auto at 24 degrees with one co-passenger and boot full of luggage. The picture says the rest.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I have managed a maximum of 17.5kmpl on my Duster RxL Petrol from Home in Hoodi to the Bangalore Airport at midnight. My duster returned 17.2kmpl to Pondicherry.
In bumper to bumper traffic the mileage falls drastically to ~7kmpl. On an average city driving returns a mileage between 9kmpl - 11.5kmpl based on traffic conditions.

My 2015 Eon magna+, done about 800 kms. Maybe it's too early to comment on FE but it might help many:
City: 14-15 KMPL.
Highways: 17-18 KMPL.
Figures are without AC.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Ford Figo TDCi gives about 16/17 in city traffic which involves bumper to bumper traffic for about 2 km everyday in a 10 km commute. AC/nonAC split 40:60.

Highways, if driven in the range of 80-90, it returns about 19/20. AC/nonAC would be 60:40.

4 yrs old/61K kms run.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

All figures with AC, mixed driving conditions.
Fabia 1.6: 7-8
Civic : 8-9
My earlier Tiguan in Dubai used to give 6 in sport mode
I think i have really bad luck when it comes to fuel efficiency. Not even one car of mine gives/gave above 10

The X1 is delivering more than expected during the last few highway runs. It's always around the 17kmpl mark give or take a few points. Speeds maintained between 90-140 kmph. Not bad right?

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I drive a Hyundai i20 AT which is five years old. I drive approximately 30 kms a day in rush hour traffic. My fuel efficiency is only 7.5 kmpl even without the AC on. Do you have any idea why it is so low?

i20 AT had a Petrol hungry 1.4L Petrol motor with an old school 4 speed gearbox. It is expected to give low FE although 9-10 might be achievable with a light foot.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Esteem VXi 2006 has clocked 87000 kms and returns the following figures:

In mixed city conditions (I have a 56 km daily commute): 12.75 to 13.10 kmpl

On highway runs: 15.5 to 17 kmpl
