Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

10 month old Maruti Vitara Brezza ZDi with 10,000 km on odo. Drive from Pune to Ratnagiri and back - total of 730 km over three days. Average returned 21.6 km/litre. About Half the distance is on 4 lane highway of NH4 at about 80-100 kmph and the remaining on divided highways between 60-70 kmph. Climbed up and down Katraj, Khambatki and Amba Ghat but that effect should be nullified in a round trip. MID indicated exactly that much.

Sorry to disillusion you. I drive almost the same car (a 2014 Dzire VXi), and the MID readings are approximately 25% more than the actual figures. So, the actual FE for your 100 km trip is approximately 19.5 km/l.

Have been running my 2006 indica xeta (63000 odo) regularly again recently. On the tank full method have been getting between 11.4 to 12.2 km/ltr. This is in Goa, ac on 75% on the time (variable basis of weather, might explain part of the variation). Car mostly does inter city school run for my boys.

Mahindra TUV3OO T8 84 BHP:

ODO: 16090 kms

Within City (Bengaluru) I get around 12 kmpl and on highway around 15.5 kmpl. On best of highways also I prefer to maintain speed in between 80 to 90 kmph.

Highway milage ( non peak hours in city included ) with sedate driving on sports mode and air-conditioning on all the time : 17 kmpl

With my dad behind the wheel, the city milage drops to 10.5 to 11 kmpl and highway milage drops to 14.5-15 kmpl
Cool! Those are respectable numbers given the weight of the car. I know Indica Xeta owners who were very happy with the engine, now the Revotron is keeping up. Tata really can be considered very competent in both fuel types

I drive Tata Vista Quadrajet - 2010 model. I've been maintaining fuel refills' record on aCar android app, tank-to-tank full calculation.
The following are the summary of stats under various driving conditions,

Total Kms covered so far : 1,05,580

City / Urban mileage : 14-16 kmpl (with always AC switched on)

Highway mileage : 19-23 kmpl (with AC switched on always)

Overall Average mileage : 16 kmpl

Worst - 11 kmpl
Best - 23 kmpl

These are the figures put together for the entire ownership period across the cities Chennai (50%), Hyderabad (30%) & Bangalore (20%) with heavy foot / agile style of driving.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Ford Aspire TDCi
Running with HP Normal diesel.
100% A/C and 100% Kolkata City drive under mix of peak hour and afternoon non pick hour traffic (70%-30%).
Always 3 person minimum on board.
Trip meter 457 kms oddo is 3333.

MID is pretty accurate when comparing with Tank full to Tank full. Often the difference is less than 0.1/0.2.

Completed a round trip of 470 km with four on board & with half boot luggage. Got an actual FE of 19 kmpl, tank full method. Driving style - slow acceleration but if road permits , I drive at 110-120 kmph.
My car- 2011 1.6 CRDI Fluidic Verna, done 77 k so far. Quite happy with highway FE. But city FE is around 14 @ Bhubaneswar. My friends with 1.3 Scross get around 18 kmpl under similar driving conditions, quite a difference.
