Car - Santro Xing (2003)
Fuel - Xtra Premium
Distance per day - 20 - 22KM
0.5 KM in traffic jam at same place daily - takes around 20 mins to cover this and some times 35 mins

City Driving - No A/C
Driving Style - rapid acceleration - normal braking

FE - 10.8 - 11.5 KMPL
FE on Highway - 15 - 16 KMPL (Before the Hole in silencer. See below)
Lowest FE - 8 KMPL (I think I was duped by the fuel station fellas)

During the last service, I was told that there is a small hole due to rust in the rear end of silencer . May be this is the culprit for the low FE. He asked me to wait till the next service to get it replaced (he said replacement is the only way and no repair/welding possible) . Approx Cost - 5500/-

Car: Ikon 1.6

FE: 11.8 km/L.

Drive: Yesterday, a high speed drive down from BLR to MAA. From Karnataka Arch to Chennai EGA theatre 3h 10m. Was cruising at 160-170 most of the time, ocassional brakings to 30-80 for traffic and towns and reduced speed to 130-140 for turns. During this drive I got a new top speed record in this car, 182 km/h. Running stock tyres. Full time a/c. No limits in RPM, used to go to 6k in 1st n 2nd gear and upshift gears post 4.5k at times in 3rd & 4th gear. Impressive drive!

Yesterday evening drive of around 20km in city sunday evening traffic + today's drive of 10km.

Btw, I'm running the stock air filter.

Pictures of the speed, max rpm and max speed achieved.
