Re: What is your car's tank range?

Car: Jeep Compass 2.0 Diesel, Manual
Tank capacity: 60 L
City Range: 800kms
Highway Range: 1250kms
Overall Range in a typical month: 1100kms

I'm not a spirited driver, but definitely not a slow couch either. I rarely go beyond 2000rpms (corresponds to an average speed of 90kmph), I can easily extract a mileage of 18.5kmpl during my daily commute (70 kms) on the EEH in Mumbai.

Re: What is your car's tank range?

Car & Engine: Vento 1.5 TDI DSG (2019), with Stage 1 Code6 ECU mapping.
Fuel Tank Size: 55L
City Tank Range: 800 kms - 880 Kms - I usually fill my tank between 450-500+ kms
Highway Tank Range: 990 kms - 1100 Kms, again it depends on the Highway we choose, if it is a clean 4 line highway, maintaining the speeds between 80 - 100 kmph it would give 1200+ range too.

Re: What is your car's tank range?

I don't have the numbers for our Beat as it sometimes runs on LPG and sometimes on Petrol and nowadays we don't do a full tank to full tank in any case, it being the beater car.

However, when the car was new and used to run exclusively on LPG, it never gave more than 9.5 km/kg of LPG and had to be filled up every 200 kms or once in 5 days (approx), tank capacity being 26 kgs

The Vista (Diesel) has the following stats:

Car: Tata Vista Quadrajet D90 2013
Kms run:1,15,500km
Tank Capacity: 42 liters (The D90 has the same tank as the Manza)
City average mileage: 13kmpl: Range: 550km. I usually fill every 400 kms
Highway average mileage: Above 100kmph 16kmpl, between 70-100 kmph 19 kmpl; Range: ~750 km. I usually fill every 600 kms or so. For example I will fill up in Siliguri and then again in Calcutta, or vice versa.

Re: What is your car's tank range?

This thread, is where my 2017 Honda Jazz i-DTEC 1.5 MT V variant can flex.

Seen below, this is the range when I tanked up at the Shell fuel pump, just before my cruise down on the expressway towards Mumbai.
What is your car's tank range?-longest-range.jpg

Seen below, the usual range I get when i drive the Jazz inside the city.
What is your car's tank range?-summer-city.jpg

I always take my car out, for the smallest of things. And my diesel Jazz never burns a hole in my pocket.

Re: What is your car's tank range?

Car: Volkswagen Polo Highline Plus 1.0 TSI MT
Fuel Tank Capacity: 45L

City average consumption: 14km/l (Tank-to-tank tested)
City average range: 630km.

Highway average consumption: 20km/l (Cruise Control set at 100km/h, 6th gear)
Highway average range: 900km.

All these values can vary depending on traffic conditions, road condition, prevailing weather conditions, tyre pressure, type of fuel (XP95 on the highway will definitely result in a better range, atleast in a VAG car), load in the car and periodic service.

Re: What is your car's tank range?

Car & Engine: Hyundai Verna 1.6D (2017 New Gen version / SX+ with 128bhp). I am a dieselhead and really love the punchy BS-IV Hyundai diesel engines. This is one of the reasons that i bought the Verna. The other being Diesel + Auto combo.
Fuel tank size: 45 lts officially but i have filled up to 50L
City tank range: 770 km (with 50L filled up - I used to regularly get this range inside Mumbai city in 2017/18/19 with daily drive of 70 kms).

I drive with a very light foot (Anyway the traffic didn't leave me with much scope of flooring the pedal)

I always fill up with the fuel counter at last 1/4 mark hence effective range would be 560/570 kms.

Haven't done any significant highway driving post the lockdown so can't comment on the highway range.

Re: What is your car's tank range?

Car: Taigun 1.0L Topline AT
Fuel tank size: 50 Liters

City range - 500 to 550 Km (10 - 11 Kmpl), based on true Tank full to tank full mileage

Highway range - 750 to 1000 kms (15 - 20 Kmpl), based on MID numbers only, at driving conditions.

But in reality, I believe it can go 750 Kms easily on a long highway run without needing to refill with full load of people and baggage.

I once drove from Chennai to Madurai (460 Kms in ~7.5hrs) and I was left with the fuel gauge hovering around 50% mark. Given that the gauges are not accurate and fall off quickly below half point, I would think it would have easily gone another 250 - 300 Kms at the minimum.
