Makes more sense to have a complete FFE if your exhaust cracks up. I am getting one fore my car in OEM . Like using 4x2x1 headers off the 1580 cc engine. Then getting rid of the cat con on the headers and placing it a beyond the intermediate muffler and all. How I wish I had that amount of time. All the components are sourced and stocked .

As I told you, you should have retained the stock exhaust when you got an FFE. These exhaust systems cost a bomb when you think of switching back to stock. Forget returning to stock unless you are able to trace out the Palio 1.2 exhaust that got scrapped in chor bazaar .

moralfibre - going thru this thread was enlightened by you the 4th gear in a s10 is not an overdrive. I own an s10 would like some ken from you -

1. 5th gear in s10 is an overdrive, does it maintain the same ratio as in
the gtx, adventure ?
2. What is the actual ratio of the 4th in an s10?

3. IMO that even the ride height of the s10 is lower as i constantly keep
scaping bumps.
4. The chromed exhst of the s10 though looks good adds a little more
music but is the first thing that gets scraped.

Yup the 5th gear ratio is same for GTX and the Adventure. The S10 values I don't have.

That is because of the side skirts. The suspension is EXACTLY the same and so is the ride height. Suspension is made by Cofap a division for suspension owned by Magneti Marelli - ____COFAP____MAGNETI MARELLI___________________________________________ __________

Didn't quite get you. Do you mean this tip that is seen in the picture:

Highly difficult to scrape that if you ask me.

moralfibre

the bottom tip of the exhst shown in picture

reg suspension probably its the sideskirts - but whenever i have followed another palio i always found ( rather appeared ) the rear a bit raised.

the shorter fourth in the s10 aids to a bit of peppy driving. infact i always found my car pulling very easily in 4th even at engine revs hovering near about 1K.

another thing that strikes me here the s10 delivers (i have read about other s10 owners giving similar figures ) lesser fe compared to gtx and adventure. mine hovers around 7.5 to 8 city (ac or no ac ) 12 to 14 on highway. maybe its the dreaded 4th gear.

thanks for starting this thread

for all those ppl who got a palio stile i just got the price for the stone guard that was there on retro palios but isnt on stile. cost is Rs.1750/- each. so you will need to get 2 and decide if you want it painted plus labour/fitting charges if any

Yes, thats true but IMO it seems that way because the S10 specific spoiler gives the S10 a squat look making it feel lower from the back.

That and the side skirts do give a visual impression of the S10 being lower than the GTX.

Thats a nice price drop there. Once upon a time the costed 3k+ for a single guard.
