Miantenance Cost (overall) is Rs 1.45 per km, broken up as follows:
TYres/Tubes - 22 paise
Brake Overhauls - 18 paise
Suspension/Steering Overhauls - 17 paise
Routine maintenance - 64 paise

I replaced my Clutch Plate at - 91,286 kms
I replaced my tyres at - 75,750 kms
(in the first month, I tore a tyre on a fender)
I have done Brake Overhauls and Suspension Overhauls regularly, every
20-30,000 kms
I have changed the belts after 80,000 kms
Having damaged my front bumpers, I had to change it twice - cost me 8
paise
Battery gave up its life during the famous 26/7 Bombay rains, but the
second battery is running for the last 24 months and over 90,000 kms
I have skimmed my brake discs several times, and finally replaced it
after 1,06,000 kms.
All electrical parts are original, although I had teh
Alternator "serviced" recently (some rectifier regulator and bearing
were replaced).
Changed my wiper blades once, at 1,11, 821 kms
A cracked front wind shield had to be changed, costing me 4 paise

Car : Maruti 800 ( 1996 Carb ).

Condition : Always starts with 1 key, give an average of 18 in City 20 on Highway. With AC figures are 16.5 and 18.5 respectively.

Mileage on odo : approx 75,000 km

Money spent on it : Rs 200 for All Weather Halogens ( 100/90 )and then Rs 230 ( 100/ 90) on Blue Halogens.

Spent Rs 120 on replacement on spark plugs changed at 50,000 km
Spent Rs 4400 on JK Radials Changed at 55,000 km

Changed Engine oil total 6 times : Rs 2500
Labour cost : Rs 300
Changed Gear box oil once @ 40,000 km : Rs 350
Labour charge : Free
Bought and used up 2 bottles of Brake Fluid : Rs 100
No accidents. Actually there is not a single dent on the car.

Except the above the car is running on original parts.
So Rs 8200 in 11 years = Rs 62 per month.
Not bad if I do say so myself !

Car : NHC iDSI 2004
Condition : Starts with 1 key ( duh.. It's a Honda )
Average in City ( New Delhi and Noida ) 18 kmpl. Highway mileage 24 kmpl.
Figures are with AC on. Never drove the car with without AC.

Mileage on Odo : 32,568 km

Service : Rs 2700 approx in three service till date.
So Rs 2700 in 42 months = Rs 64 per month.
Okay I admit it NHC is High maintainance car !!

I want to add one more to the list.The steering gearbox is being replaced the 2nd time even though it was replaced a year back.This time during the rains water got into it and rusted the whole thing out 3000 bucks down the drain.
I guess every month some evil spirit comes and kisses my car.

I have driven around 6300 Km's and my average maintanence per Km is Rs 4.20, and average monthly spend on Maintanence is about Rs 2635. The majority of it was trying to get the AC to perform, however I have now realised that, what I getting of the AC right now is the best the Zen carb AC can do.

Anyways that was my story so far.

Feb 2007; Mitsubishi Cedia; Select Model; Done 9,100km; (~3000km on the highway); Mileage: 8.8~9.8 kmpl in city with 100% AC, 12.8~13.8kmpl in highway with 100% AC. Overall 10.7kmpl till date.

First Service @ 1350km (10 days after delivery): No cost, no oil change, chassis fastners tightened, Panel Light dimmerstat function corrected (No part change).

Second Service @ 7800km (6 months): Rs. 780 for Engine oil change, Boot-lid torsion bar dampened using rubber sheets - was otherwise causing a mild rattle while on rough roads (again no part change).
