Kilometer reading at time of service: 1489 kms.

Under warranty (Y/N): Y

Work done at authorised dealership (Y/N): Y

Dealership Name & city where work was carried out: B.U. Bhandari Auto - Wakad

Cost of following (ex-tax)

Filters:

* Air Filter: Not replaced
* Fuel Filter: Not replaced
* Oil Filter: Rs. 78.67/-
* Pollen filter: ?

Engine Oil

* Quantity: 0.25L

First free service includes only inspection jobs. I insisted on an oil filter change assuming the oil filter would have trapped some metal residues after running in.

Other work carried out & charged for: Timing belt tensioner replacement and Belt stretcher replacement.

Actual costs of parts:
* Fixed tightener: Rs. 461.00/-
* Belt Stretcher: Rs. 1,520/-
(Both the parts were replaced F.O.C under warranty).

Labour cost: * In warranty *

There was an issue with engine noise which was attributed to a worn out timing belt tensioner. Luckily car was in warranty and it was honoured very promptly by the service dealership. They goofed up while billing and erroneously added major service to it. The workshop has a practice to get the bill verified from the Service advisor / works manager if you have any doubts. I neglected the major service part but the works manager gave an earful to the billing dept and the technician who worked on my car (he is on the forum btw ). Finally Rs. 625/- was returned in cash and I went home happily. I am unable to find the revised invoice but I'll do so when time permits.

Car had a busted fuel filter that developed a crack. I had neglected the replacement and thought I'd do it at the recommended interval. Resulted in a cracked filter which was choked like hell. Bought the part off the spares part counter and the replacement was done F.O.C.

The 4th service is due and I have stretched Mobil 1 to 15k kms although the plan was to retain it for 10k kms max. Problem is sourcing the damn oil for the price in Pune. will do a round of Opera house again. Lets see how it goes. Total amount spent on maintaining the car at an authorized dealership was cheap and I think cheaper than many cars costing half as much. Believe it or not.

I haven't included three punctures costing roughly Rs. 30/- each and one session of alignment balancing done at about 14k kms costing Rs. 400/- roughly. And of course the third free service bill which came to Rs. 0.00/-

Hi Kiran,
That is a good details of your service expenditure.
I am also sure that I have not spent more than what you have spent.

Fiats are very cheap to maintain until some electricals or sensors go bad. but then they are expensive for all advanced car engines controlled by ECUs

Refilled one liter for Mobil 1 syt oil. Reason- Cleaning of filter resulting in top up

Are the rates on higher side? Is it true that cleaning of airfilter calls for refilling?

It seems very reasonable for kms it ran. Normally people say Honda car is costly to maintain - yours doesn't seem so.
