According to a media report, the launch of the Tata Curvv has been delayed by a few months. The SUV Coupe is now expected to be launched during the festive season.



The Tata Curvv will be initially available with an electric powertrain. Reports suggest that the Curvv EV will go on sale around September this year, while the petrol and diesel variants will be introduced by early next year.

The Tata Curvv SUV coupe measures 4,308 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,630 mm in height, and its wheelbase is 2,560 mm. It features a modern and sporty-looking front end with an LED light bar similar to the Nexon facelift.

The SUV coupe features flush-fitting door handles and flared wheel arches with black cladding all around. The rear has a continuous LED light strip and a raked windshield. The SUV will get a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming IRVM, 18-inch wheels and even ADAS.

The Curvv will be available with 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The Curvv EV will be based on Tata’s Gen 2 acti.ev architecture with around 450-500 km of range.

Should take this with some optimism. Fixing certain elements (hopefully design tweaks) and not rushing into the launch shall help deliver a more refined product. Curvv test mules are seen quite often around in MH., pointing the testing is in full swing. Rest, Hoping for the best

Again another Aria like design? Room looks like a car but the rest looks like a SUV. Why can't Tata design something like the Indica, something clean and simple?

After checking the thread again, I felt agony again. This should be 'The Most Beautiful Car' that Tata created.

Only thing beautiful in this car is Alfa Romeo Giulia-esque alloys.

That sounds underwhelming. We'll see what it actually ends up being.

A 4-cylinder 1.5-litre turbo-petrol would be a lot nicer. It's already >4m in length anyways.

Eagerly waiting for the launch. But I thought Curvv was sexy until Citroen Basalt came to the scene. Then as someone wrote, Curvv looks too amateurish. Something is a bit off - the back-end could be touched up better.
In comparison, the Basalt is gorgeous even with those flap handles.

Design can be subjective. And I loved the design of the Curvv when it was first announced. But you are absolutely right that the Basalt looks a tad better than the Curvv at the moment. I think that the roof of the Curvv starts sloping down without having a plateau at the top, something that the Basalt has. This makes the Curvv look bunched up, at least in the renders. How it looks on the road and close up once launched could be totally different.

In other thoughts, is it just me or has Tata tended to bring in new design concepts that everyone jumps on and even improves on while Tata gets left behind?

Came across this post on instagram( source - autojournal_india) Tata is testing the Curvv in Ladakh. A small ques to members, does it seem like that ride height has been lowered a bit? The side profile looks good in this reel.
