It would make more sense to wait until they're actually revealed at launch than complain based on spy pics with mostly covered surfaces.

Totally agree. The interiors are quite fine as they are. I don't see the need to go upmarket and further blur the lines with the Harrier for no reason.

What about people who already like the existing body types sold by Tata but would jump onto new interiors?

Just plonking in the Harrier/Safari steering wheel won't do. Atleast pray they change the centre console or redesign it to be more useful.

These teasers are pretty cool and should keep prospective buyers interest up until release.

The suspension setup looks good to flatten out the undulations. I hope suspension is tuned well and is as good as current Nexon, if not on the same level as that of Hexa.

Tata should keep launch price of Curvv lesser, so that it remains competitive to 4.2m SUVs like Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara.

Tata Curvv petrol version spied.

Though touted as a Hyundai Creta rival, it will face competition in the SUV Coupe segment from Citroen Basalt.

This powertrain is still under development and is likely to take time. Performance metrics of this engine are 125 PS of peak power and 225 Nm of peak torque.
- Speculations suggest Tata will launch Curvv EV and Curvv Diesel first, while Curvv Petrol will launch later.

re: Scoop! Tata Curvv test mule spotted in India. EDIT: Curvv Petrol launched at Rs. 10.00 lakh

The testing videos are trying to convey, this isn't just a raised, jacked up sedan. It's a proper crossover, alright.

And to me, this isn't a Creta 'killer', as many vloggers would put it. Yes, it will compete in that segment, but I doubt someone looking for a conventional looking crossover will go in for the Curvv. The Curvv and the BathSalt shall create their own sub segment, trying to pull in customers from the 4.3 and sub 4 metre crossovers.

No matter how big the Curvv's boot is, a proper hatch door opening and the boxy rear have their own advantages. You can stuff so many items, such as small furniture, boxes, cartons, which the Curvv's boot will simply not be able to take. That is the price one will have to pay for the 'Coupe' rear.

From the looks of it, the Coupe SUV should be a competitor to the Citroën Basalt. I don't have much hope for Citroën considering the way their cars are and how they have gone about things, but maybe the Curvv could be a hit should they get the pricing spot on.

re: Scoop! Tata Curvv test mule spotted in India. EDIT: Curvv Petrol launched at Rs. 10.00 lakh

With Safari and Harrier facelifts, i think Tata have largely aced the mechanical side, with not too many niggles raised by current owners. But the software side seems to have taken a bad hit with too many issues, complaints, bugs raised by all and sundry. Focus now must be on getting everything right to prove to the universe that Make in India can be truly world class. Speaking from my own experience of running a product company - albeit software - product launches can be extremely painful and agonizing. It requires massive testing, and more importantly training for support staff that is essential to ensure everything ships smoothly.
to customer's delight.

I'd rather advise TAMO waits another month, ensures proper testing/ training/ documentation for both mech and SW sides, to have a world beating product in the market. With latest tech on their side, with spending power having slightly increased from 2023 levels, I think they should gun for the top spot, focusing on toppling the Creta, and not settle for middling sales.

As much as I consider myself a pragmatic consumer, and therefore not unduly worried about buying a Chinese or Korean product vs Indian product - I really want Curvv to shake up the global market for mid-sized sedans, and pay the Asian countries back in kind.

I have a feeling (purely personal) Mr.Bose was one of those TLs who wanted all the credit and limelight, anyways he's done really well for himself. Good on M&M!

Tata Curvv EV unofficial bookings open ahead of launch

According to a media report, some Tata dealerships have started accepting pre-bookings for the Curvv EV. Customers can place their orders by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. The new SUV coupe will be officially launched on August 7, 2024.

The Tata Curvv EV will be based on the brand’s Acti.ev architecture. It could be powered by a 55 kWh battery pack offering a range of up to 550 km on a single charge.

On the outside, the Tata Curvv is expected to feature an LED light bar at the front and a similar setup at the rear. It will get flush-fitting door handles and new design alloy wheels.

Inside, the Curvv will get a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a digital instrument cluster and a large central touchscreen. Moreover, the SUV coupe is likely to be equipped with ADAS among other safety systems.

Real world range should be around 385km.Thumb rule for real world range calculation is 70% of ARAI/IDC claimed range is what I have observed.

Hope it is priced under 25L for the top variant.Tata needs to offer atleast 100kw fast charging with this. The competition to curvv will arrive sooner or later this year itself. Better to go all guns blazing. They should also consider exports. This can compete well in European Markets.
