Just curious, does this engine have a french connection? Asking coz their choice of colour reminds me of Alpine.

Hyperion ?

Isn't there a Hydrogen Super car by that name?

It is the other way round. Tata already had the proprietary rights to use the name HYPERION since 1984 when TITAN was founded. Infact the nomenclature HYPERION comes from the word TITAN.

It would be right to say Toyota was influnced by the word Hyperion.

I can see from your location tag that you're a resident of Kerala. I've heard that KSEB has released new policies to solar panels and how much money they earn which significantly decreases money earned from solar.

How much did it affect your earnings from solar?

We never really chased the payments, I think we've received 3 or 4 cheques to date, that's it. But between regularly charging the scooter, copious use of air conditioning and back up power in case of outages, we're net net. To be brutally honest, we had zero hopes or expectations of recieving anything from KSEB for supplying the grid, I just hope and pray they don't tax us for producing our own electricity.

Sorry, but looking at this Changan, the Curvv really looks more like the Urus than a random Chinese model.

The Changan looks like an attempt at copying Merc/ BMW coupe SUVs.

Tata Curvv EV launch time confirmed to be at 11:30 AM on 7th August.

Hoping the top variant to be priced within 20L for a competitive advantage and mass appeal.

And of course... Fingers crossed regarding the pernicious QC history.

re: Scoop! Tata Curvv test mule spotted in India. EDIT: Curvv Petrol launched at Rs. 10.00 lakh

The Altroz Racer could have surely used this new engine, It being under 1.2l and all. Yes, It makes sense to release a new engine with a new model. But yeah the logic behind having two powertrains, which are similar powered is lost on me. More so, when the competition has 4 cyl 1.5l TGDI with more umph.

It remains to see where they position the car with the price. The sweet spot would be when the base variants matches the top and second top trims of Sub 4m SUVs like Nexon while the higher variants give competition to the NA engines and 1.0l turbos of the likes of Creta, Taigun etc.

I hope the 3cyl comes with significant price advantage over the 1.5 TGDIs from Hyundai and the 1.5s from VW Group.

Aug 7 is not far, palms joined, prayers are hopefully answered by TATA management.
