One Query - Curvv is coming with the ADAS Level2 but I did not find any radar on the front bumper as it is there in Harrier/Safari just under the number plate.
Has Tata gone the Honda way to provide camera-based ADAS? Camera-based ADAS will not work properly in heavy rain or fog.

Sales executives have no information about it.

MOD - Apologies for back to back post. The price list is received just now so thought of posting it.

Tata has integrated the radar in the lower part of the Grill in the ICE version, I’m not sure about the position in the EV version, but it must be somewhere in the grill itself.

Wow, so even Maharashtra has zero on road taxes for EVs? I don't understand why Kerala (they harp about environment protection every now and then) govt has a 5% road tax when Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamilnadu has zero taxes for EVs! Sigh

That’s good to hear that Kerala only charges 5%. In Telangana, EVs are charged same as ICE. If we have to buy cars above 10L, we have to shell out 16% on Ex-Showroom

I think supply and demand! If they see good selling volumes of EV in future then they might introduce some tax. Just sharing my thoughts.

re: Scoop! Tata Curvv test mule spotted in India. EDIT: Curvv Petrol launched at Rs. 10.00 lakh

Just came back from the showroom. Only the Curvv EV was there. ICE is expected for display next week. I am 183 cm tall (6 ft) and had no issues moving my head around, it did not touch anywhere. It could be because I have very very short hair. The person in the driver's seat was 5.6, and I had ample legroom. With a taller driver, I might not be that comfortable.

The Basalt has definitely more legroom (saw that too, did a TD as well) but I don't think Curvv and Basalt customers are the same. Curvv is clearly a sub segment above.

I am seriously interested in Curvv EV and have been just reading up about it on the internet. Just randomly searched about Curvv on Twitter now "X.com" and this is the first thing that popped up. The car is @99% Soc and limp/creep mode function activated.

Interesting that some states have 0%, some have 5% and some are on part with their ICE counterparts.

For ICE vehicles in Kerala, it's 13% for cars between 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs, 15% for those b/w 10 to 15 lakhs, 17% for 15 - 20 and 22% for cars above 20 lakhs! Am not sure how it is in other states for ICE - any knows for TN/KA?

I’m not sure on the rationale but I think it’s high time we get one nation-one registration-one road tax as the only option when buying vehicles and existing vehicles to be automatically recognised with the same status as BH series

All virtues aside, the rear seat comfort from this pic by 250NM is a huge deal breaker!

Under thigh support is an absolutely rare feature these days in cars. My dad's Dzire from 2013 has far better support than tons of cars from today that cost upwards of 25+ lakhs.

re: Scoop! Tata Curvv test mule spotted in India. EDIT: Curvv Petrol launched at Rs. 10.00 lakh

Hello everyone, spotted a test mule of the Tata Curvv earlier this week in Pune being benchmarked against what appears to be a Peugeot 5008.

The picture of the test mule shows a tape stuck onto the steering wheel which says, "ECO mode on"

On another note, caught a glimpse of a red display model in a Tata showroom, looks a lot better in person than it does in pictures.

re: Scoop! Tata Curvv test mule spotted in India. EDIT: Curvv Petrol launched at Rs. 10.00 lakh

I had a quick look at the Curvv EV. Somehow I feel this is a car which is neither here, nor there.

It is not ideal as a city car because Nexon/Punch EVs do better with their compact dimensions. For long distance drives, the rear seats are only good for kids. Seat bases are really low short, they are almost as bad as the third row seats of some of the 5+2 sear SUVs (Tall people have to sit with a knees up position). Add to that the sloping roofline almost touches your head and you don't have a good view if you try to look out (especially towards the rear of the window glass). I also sat in the rear seats of Tiago and Punch EV and they were much better.

Interior design/finish/quality looked just like any other Tata cars. Excessive use of Piano black finish and the fake carbon fibre finish across the dash didn't appear upmarket.

Agree!
Our Baleno's rear seat space is the best I've experienced so far. Recently, my Mom had a ride in the Jeep Compass and she was like this car doesn't have space even if it's costing 25 Lakhs
