you guys in Bangy are lucky...you get nice laminated credit card size licences. We here in Mumbai are stuck with the mad little book licences what disintigrate after a few years!!

They had the laminated licences here. My elder bro got his at the time, but when I had to get my licence, they said the comp had broken down, so no more laminated licences!!

In Andhra, we have licenses that are advanced than the laminated cards. We get credit cards like plastic cards with everything printed on it and has a hologram too. The photo of the license owner is shot using digital camera and the signature is also digitally captured to print on the card. Even International driver's permit and vehicle RC are issued in the same manner on a plastic card.

You know who received the first plastic card license in the state, it is Bill Clinton when he visited Hyderabad during his Presidential trip to India.

I passed the DL test.....but, fortunately or unfortunately...no major dramas. Except for the fact that i almost missed my bike DL test, and we had to hunt down the inspector who had changed the venue from one ground to another!!
The inspector didn't even bother to see how i ride the bike.

Don't look for any dramas on road. Great news anyway. Congrats. Drive properly. Bangalore is an insane traffic mess.
