These local IND plates have been portrayed as HSRP for quite some time. A relative of mine had with pride stated (nearly a year back) that he has got HSRP on his cars. I said, I had my own doubts on it as KA Govt had NOT notified who the HSRP vendors are going to be.

You should go to https://www.siam.in/hrspsubmit.aspx

Choose your vehicle type and then manufacturer

And it will forward you to the right website

For my Swift, it pointed me to https://bookmyhsrp.com/ and for my Dio it pointed me to https://www.orderyourhsrp.com/

Have booked my slots on 29AUG and 02SEP but looks like slots are running out

re: HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 20th November 2024

I'm driving an MH registered car in Bangalore. I had earlier got HSRP from online vendor http://www.bookhsrponline.com/ and got it fitted at Maruti ASC, but not fully sure if it is genuine HSRP. Is there a way to check if the HSRP is genuine?
If it is not a genuine HSRP, is there an online vendor who can provide HSRP for MH vehicles?

Thanks both @itwasntme and @nareshtrao for your reponses.
I checked my Number plates in my 2021 Nios and it looks like this:
There is an etched number just below the IND (covered with Black Box).
HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 20th November 2024-img2402.jpg

However I do not have any Stickers on my Windshield. I am guessing there was no such systems back then because this is how the car came from Dealer.

I have the same question, is there a way to check if the IND plates are HSRP ?

re: HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 20th November 2024

I drive a TN registered car in Bangalore, and there doesn't seem to be an option to get an HSRP for TN registered cars from any of the online vendors mentioned in this thread. I can only assume TN hasn't made HSRPs for older vehicles mandatory.

I see one of two paths:
1. The KA rule doesn't really affect me as the home state of my car is different?
2. If it does affect me (There's no way the RTO is going to pass up on easy money), I'll probably need to contact a local agent in TN who can source the HSRP from the RTO there.

Only time will tell I guess.

If it was 2021, then HSRP for KA-reg new cars was mandatory, and there is no way a Hyundai dealer would have dared to issue a fake HSRP.

Again, the windshield sticker was very much mandatory too; it might be lying inside your various car manuals and other documentation like the RTO fees receipt(s).

Do check and if not present, immediately escalate formally to your dealer.

I went to https://www.siam.in/hrspsubmit.aspx?...1&pgidtrail=91 website but I can't get past the screen that lists the manufacturer logos, on clicking the logo the same page keeps opening in a new tab. How to go around this bug?

Clear your browser cache, then restart the computer and try, It should work. Which browser are you using? Try Google Chrome if not already doing so.

Right now, until they fix the bug - the only way forward I have found is to visit the two websites directly and enter your vehicle details (and proceed in the one that accepts it).

The two websites are:

1. www.bookmyhsrp.com
2. www.makemyhsrp.com

Thanks.

How long does it take for the number plates to be ready for fitment ? In other words, when is the nearest time slot available for fitment ?

Fitment has to be done at the dealership, right ?

Thanks in advance.

I think the earliest slot was after ~10 days. You can pick from the available slots on the portal, all days except Sunday's are shown. Feel free to explore on the portal till the final payment screen, there is no commitment till the payment screen and you can chose to cancel or go back and modify.

Karnataka is showing fitment only at the dealership. Portal has a fitment option at doorstop which is not supported once Karnataka is selected, I guess the this might be available in some other state

I tried for my Activa. It's a KA registered 2009 model.

Boomyhsrp
Shows "As a Vendor we are not authorised for this vehicle Please visit www.siam.in for respective HSRP Maker."

makemyhsrp
Shows "Order cannot be placed for State : [KA]"

orderyourhsrp
It's allowing me to furnish the basic details, able to retrieve registration details. But couldn't continue as I am not getting OTP to continue further.

Will try some other time.

re: HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 20th November 2024

A change in Govt means change in policies and rules. All the people/firms who supported the winning party in the elections has to get contracts on various items and the burden of funding will eventually fall on the AAM JUNTA.
This mandatory policy is to support some firm and if someone can look at the contractor providing these HSRP plates can easily understand the lobby behind.

This is not uncommon and similar work is happening in my neighborhood. Seems like a contractor has knowledge of building Median alone. He was given the contract to remove the recently painted existing median and build a new one which is similar to the specs that was removed. People travelling on the Tambaram - Velachery Main Road in Chennai might notice this.

@Mods, - Please remove this post if found violating the rules.

For Karnataka, it's listing only TVS, Royal Enfield and Suzuki
