I am facing problem ordering HSRP for my Kinetic Flyte. Since Kinetic has shut down operations, if I order them online it shows no data is available and contact Celex for assistance. They say that they are not authorized for Kinetic vehicles. Is there any way to find the HSRP provider for Kinetic Motors vehicles.

From the SIAM portal where I ordered for my other vehicles, I was redirected to https://www.orderyourhsrp.com/vehicle_info_old.php for this vehicle.

1. Your vehicle details did not match with VAHAN records. Kindly re-check and enter correct credentials.
2. Vahan Response: Vehicle details available in Vahan but Maker of this vehicle Not Present in HOMOLOGATION but OEM/Manufacturer (Homologation) of this vehicle have not authorized you for the State/RTO of this vehicle, please contact respective OEM.

I get the same error while trying to book one for my 2005 Honda Dio. The FC is expired (in 2020), but Insurance is valid. The message does seem to indicate some kind of RTO status intervention. I tried to book for FC renewal in Vaahan website and it threw up an error that I need to visit the RTO. Both are related?

Had booked my HSRP for my DZire on Sep 12 on bookmyhsrp.com going through SIAM. Got a date of Sep 19 for installation at Kataria at Talaghattapura. Smooth process.

Quick one, did they rivet the rear plates or just used the screw?

Yes, they riveted the rear plate as well, see below image:

Since the rear was attached to the metal body, they used the screw itself. Isn't the purpose of riveting defeated?
Absolutely true. Who knows, if BTP will start making money by fining for not having rivets, unpredictable! :Frustrati

Has any one fro Bangalore been successful in installing the HSRP number plate for Ford Vehicle. I have a Endeavour and i have not be successful even after selecting Ford as a manufacturer in https://bookmyhsrp.com/. I always get the error "Your vehicle detail didn't match with vahan service". I even crosschecked the details in mParivahan app, the details are matching as to what i entered in the Book My HaSRP website.

Hi, since Mahindra purchased business of Kinetic 2 wheelers, try searching with Mahindra.

For General Motors/Chevrolet, the siam.in is throwing error and not opening any provider website. Hence, I had emailed siam asking for assistance.

They replied stating bookmyhsrp.com is the provider for Chevrolet.

However, I am having issues and not able to select a dealer in Bangalore. No dealer show up after entering all details and selecting state/city/pin. I have written to bookmyhsrp, would update once I hear from them.

It's allowing me to furnish the basic details, able to retrieve registration details. But couldn't continue as I am not getting OTP to continue further.

Im facing the same issue for my Honda City. The OTP is not being sent to my mobile number. Did you try any other way to get past the OTP screen?

Tried, no enlistments yet as fitment centres for Chevy.

Wrote to BookMyHsrp support. They replied stating that they are starting home delivery, and to opt for the same if available in the area.

Make sure your vehicle isn't blacklisted by RTO for any reason and all pending traffic fines are cleared and try again. If you still see this issue then raise a complaint with BookMyHSRP.

Currently only the following states are listed in BookMyHSRP website.

Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and NCT of Delhi.

Any idea when the other states will start implementing. Are there any guidelines from the Central Government?

I recently got HSRP plates fitted on our Civic and my bike - TVS Star City (2007).

Number plate swap for the car -

In the Whitefield Honda showroom, the staff inside were pretty courteous and offered us seats in the lounge while the plates were being fitted. This also allowed me to check out the new Elevate, and their other offerings. There were many cars in line waiting for their plates to get swapped, so the whole process was taking quite some time. Once they did come to our vehicle, our experience at the showroom immediately started to change. The service advisor who was allotted to us was completely inconsiderate and not at all answering any of our questions. I wanted to ask him about a couple of things that I wanted to get done at the ASS since it might be the best place to get these parts for our car, but this experience turned out to be so bad that it forced me to never visit an ASS with my Civic again, let alone give it to them for anything.

Here's how the whole conversation went-

Quote:

Me: I want to change the number plate holder since it had been damaged by an auto and the plastic clip is broken on one side, is it possible to replace it?
SA: No.
Me: Okay, is it atleast possible to place an order for the same and redo the fixing of the plates then?
SA: No.
I was pretty shocked by the answers that he gave me, so I decided to try to ask for something more easily available. I saw a new City with fresh HSRP plates with the number plate frames/garnishes installed and wanted them for our Civic, as the new plates were pretty flimsy as it is, so a border or brace would do wonders in terms of protection. I thought it was an accessory that they were offering(which I still think they are), but it seems like it wasn't.

Here's how that conversation went-

Quote:

Me: Can I atleast get a frame for the number plate at the rear so that it can prevent the plate from getting bent or damaged?
SA: No.
Me: Why not, aren't all HSRP plates of the same size and shape?
(He didn't have an answer to this, so he resorted to the classic excuse)
SA: For old Civic we don't get sir.
After this whole experience, I pretty much wanted to leave ASAP. The technician who fitted the plates was a kind person and was really helpful throughout the process, didn't really show a negative attitude towards us and was happy to answer our questions. After that was over, we thanked him and immediately left the place. Hopefully I won't have to go there ever again.

Number plate swap for the bike -

I have a TVS Star City which was recently purchased pre-owned for my daily commute. I had applied for the HSRP plates for this, and I chose Trijal TVS in Marathahalli as it was the closest to where I live. The whole process at the showroom took only 15 mins, I went to the basement, showed the appointment slip and they had the plates ready.

They initially started with a rivet installation, but the hole that was previously existed was too small for the rivet to go in. Hence, they resorted to using bolts and screws, just like the old ones. When I asked them if this would invite any legal complications, they said it wouldn't, and the only reason they weren't using rivets was because they wouldn't fit in the existing holes. I decided to leave it that way and hope that cops won't fine me for this. Overall, it was a decent and swift experience which I was satisfied with.

Like many others reported in this thread, two different showrooms and two very different experiences!

Please use the "Search this thread" function. I am among several who did this successfully.

Couple of open questions:

Is there a specific order in which the plates are to be installed? That is, is there something that says the first serial number in the sticker must be of the front plate and the second, of the rear plate? I noticed yesterday that this order is maintained in my Ford but the VW guys swapped them.

The kit sent by the HSRP manufacturer to the dealer includes the rivets, right? So if the dealer installs it with screws then shouldn't we be demanding they hand over the rivets to us?

I got the HSRP plates installed for our 2014 model Celerio from Bimal Auto, Domlur/Bangalore.
There were no surprises and everything went on smoothly. I had taken an appointment for 20th September 4-6pm and got an SMS on previous day night mentioning that the same has been dispatched to the dealer but didn't get any confirmation regarding it being received at the dealer till 20th afternoon. While I was on the way to the dealer, received the confirmation SMS also. There was no one else waiting, so it was done in quick time.
Took an appointment for Corolla Altis at Nandi, Banaswadi. Hoping for a similar good experience.
