Hmmm. Good thing they are fixing it free of costs before complaints start cropping up!

Did they mention anything about the suspect engine component in your telephonic conversations? I am guessing you set up a time as the time taken for the check up is not mentioned in the letter.

Yup spoke to them and got a appointment fixed with them, that means i will have to remove the performance mod which is just a 10 min job and fix it after the check up is done

Nothing for me as of now!

Our car is just couple a weeks old. I haven't received any kind of notifications or my dealer hasn't mentioned of any. Will get in touch with them today anyhow.

EDIT: Called one of my friends in a Maruti A.S.S. here. It seems it is a very limited recall with very little vehicles involved. Most of the older vehicles doesn't have to attend this (That was the impression I was given). Newer vehicles (July-August) may not need yo attend this. Though, I would still recommend DDis owners to get in touch with your dealerships as soon as possible.

may be its a gimmick or a trick of the MUL for making a name in the market for A.S.S.???? could be possible.

i didn't wuite understand the reason for this recall...as in could it be exemplified as to what is the nature of the problem that one is facing?? Well, as regards the ECU replacement, as many would already know, was because the rpm was fluctating in the car...

Ok even i got a letter stating that to come into the workshop and get my ddis checked up. However in the letter they said during their stock audit they have gotten to know that some damaged parts were found in the stock and so they are asking me to come and get my car checked up to be on the safe side . Will that amount to a recall ???

Doesn't a recall mean they take back your car & give you a new one ? I think this is just a repair recall. Not a 'total recall'
at least maruti does this even before there has been any complaints from the customer.
