@prabhuv..

checked it at Tafe Reach,Mount Road..
I think when the car arrives and if the car is VFM, we both can book the car for better discounts...
I am just waiting for the pricing to be anounced,if the top end diesel variant is going to be 6L(onroad) upwards, then i don't think i would be able to have this baby..

P.S:Anyone from chennai who is having a thought for this car, can join us..

So are any of the expected Punto variants going to be more powerful than the outgoing Palio 1.6?

I am not sure of the dates regarding Jazz launch,First quarter is going to be a rocking one for sure.Sales started to show improvements and all manufacturers are eyeing on the comming months to capture all what they can.Fiat in india has started to make sense now and i hope it continues.Every one blamed them on the pricey 500,They brought the ferraris,they launched the pretty linea,now they have a fat boy punto to be just in the family in a month.So family is complete now,but they may expect another baby in a year lolz.Will come up with whats in store for india on may 15th guys.

There are 2 more (non-bhpians) who are interested in the purchase.

I am looking at a white color!

@prabhuv,@sathyaprakash,@anachronix

Guys, I am not sure whether we would get any reasonable discounts if we book together, but I am sure the dealer will not try any of his antics..

Let's form a group with people who are interested in buying this car in chennai and once the launch date gets announced, let's visit the dealer together....My budget is strictly 6L(onroad) and won't mind going in for a base version diesel if the price is high and if the car is worth the price..

P.S: Assuming that i'm going to buy this car at any cost, i've already informed my friend,who is flying down to india this month end, to purchase the music system.. Hope Fiat doesn't delay the launch again, if it does, then i should say it's curtains for Fiat(atleast for me)..

Hope Fiat and Tata get their act together for the GP and not do what they did with the Palio.

Also hope they give a killer pricing for the GP and not look at how the Jazz gets priced, which would at a uber premium

I am in market for a car again, and I hope Fiat guys get Punto pricing right (someone says let them launch it first )

Autocar says the 1.2L Petrol Jazz (base version) would be priced 6.5L ex-Showroom. This would make it approx 7.5- 8L OTR Bangalore. And, I dont know what would the price of the top end be - 9L OTR? Fabia now seems VFM considering that they sell diesels at this price point. (Their A$$ is another story, but I am only talking about pricing) - Looks like Honda might launch Jazz with their 1.5 iVTEC from Honda city few months down the line. And, we'll have a hatch selling at 10L OTR Bangalore

I hope Fiat doesn't take cues from Honda and price Punto reasonably well. (I'd love a shock pricing, but I don't count on it though!)

I have seen Punto in Singapore and it was pretty big! Would love to see the 1.3L MJD with the VGT atleast in the top end. 7.5L OTR for the top end is the worst case scenario I have planned for.

May 12th seems close.. yet so far!

So there are 6 confirmed buyers of the GP even before the launch date is known!

Be careful guys. The dealer may faint if he sees 6 confirmed buyers of the GP on the day of launch! Better call the dealer and ask him if he has insurance before going.
