Yet to see a Chevrolet Spark with broken reversing lamps.

I read somewhere that for India, punto will come in 2 tone interiors grey and black and not just full black.
So, no beige this time finally.

@coolboy007 - you can actually see the interior pics of GP posted sometime back. It looks cool in that 2 tone grey and black combo. very much unlike the swift.

That is interesting to note. Haven't you had any occassion when some guy in a bike probably would have touched it?

Excellent one sir Wildon!

So, this allays my fear of the GP not being as spacious as the i20.
I guess Fiat has reduced the front/rear overhang to keep it under 4m.

However, what takes the cake is the wheelbase!! its actually 15mm shorter than the i20.

Oh!! I cant wait to lay my hands on one

Many a times. And I own a Zen which is supposed to be having rear fog lamps integrated in the bumper (though not in my model as mine is Lxi). The lamps are integrated so low in the bumper that at the max the rubber of the tire brushes against it and does not break it. That's the reason they are in extreme corners and low at that. You'll see tail lamps broken which are not too high or too low.

was there in a tata-fiat service center at Hosur road with a friend who's car was given for service and found a Grande Punto in flesh. It was in RED(like a Ferrari kind of but not Ferrari Red) color ,Petrol 1.4, Emotion Pk. Blue & Me sticker was on the back.

The door was locked so couldn't get inside. over all impression is OK. The tyre was Good Year 195/60 -15" Alloys.

Dash was same as Linea except the Beige mix. The Punto dash is Grey/Black Combo. Seat cover had a Punto logo embossed.

Now if i compare this GP with i20 in look and exterior... GP is nowhere near to i20. The car having an innocent look from the front view.

The car was preparing to get ready as for a Test Vehicle. The demo Sticker and Fiat Toll free numbers were pasted on the body.

The Fiat Logo is Stunning.

Punto looks awesome!

but I personally feel(after looking at pics) that the Punto rear is a bit ugly(sorry if I sounded harsh)!

As compared to i20's looks, Punto lacks the sleekness and curves.

but still its an awesome car!! Cant wait to test drive one myself!!

I was in Lonavala on Thursday to attend to a seminar at Fariyas Hotel. To my surprise, i saw 3 Grand Punto cars, 2 metallic silver and 1 black which were being examined a dozen of people, few of them looked like students. They were all over the car looking into everything that could be opened. After looking at the car, a questionnaire was handed over to them and each one got busy. All of them took turns to test drive the vehicle. The best part is that they were pitching it against an old Swift (that too, a TN regd vehicle). I am not sure how that would be a fair comparison. I am sorry, but i could not take any pictures

I was on the 2nd floor balcony and was looking straight down to the cars. My first impressions;
a. Car looked longer than the swift (top view)
b. The petrol engine was audible (i was on the second floor and could hear the sound)
c. The front and sides looks good
d. The rear was blank, with rear lights on the sides of the back glass and a combination of reflectors, 1 fog and 1 reverse light in the bumper. Not very impressed
e. Interiors were not very visible and hence it would not be fair to comment

Hope they price the product sensibly and beef up the A.S.S or else it would go the Palio way.

although you cant deny the fact that the punto is a great car but somehow the pics dont bring out the beauty its stated to have..
imo the rear is just plain and looks mismatch. just like the linea with a great front and side view but not so great rear.

GP does look lengthy but not looking as broader as i20 because of the shape. The car has low front height and higher back height. The reverse light is in the bottom left side of the bumper and the fog is on the right side.

The interior lack the Modern design and looks so normal. A Fiat fan definitely will jump over to this, but for others i still have doubt in my mind. So this car only can win in Performance in my opinion/view.
