re: Scoop! Next-gen Maruti Dzire caught testing

It has to be the next-gen Dzire, which is going to be launched next month i.e, October.

That is the 4th gen Maruti Dzire! Those new lights look absolutely cool.

Also, is that an ADAS module at the front below the Suzuki logo?

It's the new generation Swift Dzire for sure.

Last time around, sedans had an upper hand and Dzire was launched before the hatch back. How things change! Now everything is struggling against SUV form factor.

Re: 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire spied on test

Hello folks! This is my first post on Team-BHP. I wanted to share a few sketches I made of the fourth generation DZire based on the spy shots that we have currently.

The taillight modules of the new DZire had been leaked by the YouTube channel Om Car accessories but its pictures were never shared on this thread:

These taillights really lend themselves to a design with a light bar across the trunk lid and the overall theme of distinctly red-coloured elements inside a black/clear casing does match Maruti Suzuki’s latest taillight designs: the Swift, Fronx, Grand Vitara

The rear light bars are however only limited to Nexa models currently so I think it’s unlikely we will see it on the DZire. Maruti will probably slap a chrome bar in its place, but I wanted to see what the design would look like without that.

The front design is also going to be very different from the Swift with the Ciaz (Audi?) like headlight modules. I hope we get some clearer spy shots of the front-end soon. Are there any updates on SoP on the next gen? Is it still scheduled for Sept-Oct 2024?

New Maruti Dzire LED Tail Lights Leaked

We can see new Maruti Dzire LED tail lights in the shape of a ‘Y’. This pattern reminded me of a Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS’ tail lights, for obvious reasons. Actual brake lights seem to be LEDs, while rear turn indicators and reverse lights seem to be halogen-based. When compared to the half-C-shaped LED tail lights, the new ones appear significantly more premium.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: This is it!

Get the exterior design vibes of Ciaz.

The king of sedans (sub 4m) is here to stay and to continue ruling this segment.

Launching very soon, during the on going festive season.

One of the key highlights of the 2024 Dzire is the inclusion of an electric sunroof, the feature loved by most Indians.

Re: 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire spied on test

This will be a game changer in the sub-4m sedan segment. It looks more premium than the other plain-jane sedans that resemble a hatchback with a boot.

Confirmed features:
• LED Headlamps and Fog Lamps
• Electric Sunroof
• 360 view Camera

And last but not the least, RIP Amaze, Tigor and Aura

The pictures give me a current gen Nissan sentra vibes!

Expecting a huge hike in its price and I hope they would be able to distinguish the top trims from the lower trims that are mostly purchased by the taxi segment.

Sunroof is one of the factors that will distinguish the top trims. I hope there are a few distinct design cues as well.

With Dzire going upmarket, I'm interested to see how Honda will position Amaze. Given that new amaze will be on the current City platform, it will go upmarket too.

Looks good. The grill already looks like it is inspired from Innova. If Toyota copies this car in their stable, they would have no reason to change the fascia.

Maruti usually sells the outgoing Dzire for cabs under Tour S moniker and keeps the new-gen exclusive for private buyers.

I have never been a fan of the sub-4m sedans ever, but this Dzire looks amazing. The new Swift looks very average and this looks ravishing. This might be the generation where the Dzire stops playing second fiddle to the Swift and takes the lead!

Tough times ahead for the upcoming Amaze, unless they also are working on something radical.

Wow! Looks amazing. Such an effort for a Sedan. Maruti, please put the same efforts in refreshing Ciaz. That's the only thing I'm asking.

Re: 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire spied on test

The first 2 generations of DZire were very similar to their hatchback counterparts (headlamps, hood, front door panels etc), while the third gen DZire was a major deviation from its hatchback design and aptly dropped the "Swift" moniker. Even though the head lamps and hood were common between them, the top hat design was more "sedanish" than "hatchbackish" which was a welcome move.

With this fourth gen iteration, it is a complete deviation from the hatchback in terms of design - whether it is head lamps, body panels etc. The underlying platform remains the same, though.

While Maruti succeeded in deriving the "DZire" sub-4m sedan brand from "Swift", what they missed is spanning the DZire brand name to a bigger sedan competing against City and Verna. While Ciaz is still not dead yet, a bigger DZire would have grabbed some sales from its competitors and its own sub-4m version with the added margins at a relatively lower price point than Ciaz.

Same mistake in not using the "Brezza" brand and design in the +4m category. Launch a "Grand Brezza" by extending the Brezza length by another 200 - 250mm and they can price it just above Brezza and far lesser than Grand Vitara, as current Brezza prices are relatively high as it doesn't enjoy the sub-4m benefits. Even though GV looks superb from rear, the front and side designs are a downer for many "SUV" lovers while that of Brezza is much better.

And cudos to the new "rear-design expert" in Maruti - who has done a good job in designing the rear of Brezza, Fronx and Grand Vitara and most probably this DZire in the above pic (but I'll park my final comment till I see it from dead rear).

Not any more. I too was under the same impression as this was the case until last gen. Then I started seeing lot of current gen models sold as tour models meant for cabbies and headed to maruti website to confirm and they are selling same gen model now to both parties.

Whether this started in anticipation of incoming model is not known to me.

More than the Ciaz, it looks more like the Honda Amaze.

Overall, it looks premium, and Maruti surely has a winner on their hands again.

Re: 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire spied on test

Are the sedans dead - probably not till the Dzire exists!

Looks great though! MS needed four generations to bring it out of the shadows of the Swift.
