Not sure why Maruti has chosen not to come up with an 'all-new' Dzire.
What is common about the two? I see both are entirely different.

Re: 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire spied on test

Thanks for sharing the pictures. This looks pleasingly sharper than before.
It's appeal would increase if MS focusses on selling this to private buyers instead of selling same model to mix of commercial (taxi) and private segment buyers.

Further, I also find that the front grill has a slight resemblance to Toyota Innova (both Hycross and Crysta), indicating another badged model in the making.

Re: 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire spied on test

Being an ex-owner of current version of Dzire, this one looks more Macho compared to any of the previous generation of Dzires

While the current generation Dzire especially the top end Zxi looks good, the boot is still a dead giveaway that its based on a hatchback. Hope this new 'avatar' of Dzire fixes that issue

But my question about Dzire and its weight will remain. How much will this new Dzire weigh? less than 1000 kg again?

Bring out the folks who make their decision on the car's crash ratings and this thread will become livelier

I think that Maruti should do what they did before, and offer only the current gen Dzire as Taxi. Honda refuses to do taxi registration for their Amaze.

The 2nd-gen Dzire served as Tour S all the way until 2022 while the 3rd-gen was on sale. The only reason the 3rd-gen had to become the Tour S early is that the 2nd-gen was not BS6.2 compliant. No such issue with the 3rd-gen, so it is likely to continue as the Tour S for as long as emissions and safety regulations allow it.

Re: 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire spied on test

Somehow the dash & door trim/ design seem too busy to me. Plus having owned a Maruti Suzuki, I can astoundingly say that it will rattle & the over quality leaves lot to be "Dzired". It is, in fact, quite contrary to the exterior which looks catchy & upmarket.

I'm sure the target buyers always ignore these matters when buying a Maruti & only go for the claimed mileage numbers.

I think that at this point the mods might as well leave a permanent note on this thread to not upload this set of images again.

They have been posted on this thread — and deleted — three times over the last couple of days. They were uploaded to a predatory YouTube channel and were (unsurprisingly) picked up by Rush Lane, and the rest of the tabloids followed. All are clearly altered (or not) images of other Suzuki models, namely the Japanese and European Swifts, current Dzire (rear seat) and Brezza (sunroof).

Is that a Maruti? That was my impression before I read the title of the thread. Great job to Maruti for making the Dzire more desirable. Hope they can give it a good feature list too alongside the sunroof.

Re: 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire spied on test

Dealer sources have now revealed that the launch date has been set for November 11, 2024.

Dealer sources have revealed to Cars24 that the new Dzire is going to be launched on November 11, 2024, amidst this year’s festive season. The media drives for the same have been set for 4th-8th November as revealed earlier. Once launched, it will go against the likes of other sub-compact sedans like the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and the upcoming Honda Amaze.

Re: 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire spied on test

New Maruti Dzire launch on November 11.

The new Dzire will move further away from the Swift in terms of design and features.

Quote:
New Dzire will be sufficiently marked out from Swift
Will have more features than outgoing model, including a sunroof
Petrol and petrol-CNG powertrains expected.
Quote:
Leaked images that surfaced earlier gave us some hint about the new Dzire’s design. It will feature an Audi-esque nose, a blacked-out horizontally slatted grille with some chrome elements, slim headlights with black bezels and a sportier-looking front bumper.

The diamond-cut alloy wheels will be different from the Swift; the all-new wraparound LED tail-lights will get stylish LED outlines and some body parts with more angular creases will further help it differentiate from its hatchback sibling.
Quote:
The new Dzire will use the Swift’s 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z Series petrol engine. It will come with a petrol-CNG option as well. While the petrol variants will get an automatic gearbox option, the CNG-powered ones will come with a five-speed manual only
Expect Maruti to commence bookings for the new Dzire in the coming weeks, with deliveries starting by around mid-November.

This possibly can't be a render of the new Dzire. This seems more like a skoda or an audi than a maruti. This looks more premium than the Grand Vitara.

Totally with you - look at that car occupying the entire parking lot! No way a sub-4m dzire is ever going to do that. The Ciaz for sure can but MSIL has forgotten they have it in their portfolio.

I recently travelled in a New-Gen Baleno AMT from Mumbai to Pune and one thing I noticed is that Maruti AMT has improved leaps and bound. Head nods are rare and the shifting is pretty smooth as compared to older models. It wont be as smooth as a CVT but it is really good and I would't have cared about it being a AMT instead of a CVT if I was shopping in this segment.

Spot on observation. I am using Ignis AMT for last one year now and it has been really pleasant experience. In city at low speeds, gear changes are little slow but on plane roads it shines. 3 to 5 are breeze and you hardly feel it. With press on accelerator it recognizes your need and changes gear accordingly. And best part is it delivers 21-22 kmph easily on highways.
