Front look neat and classy, like the VW's and Skoda's but that shabby chrome strip at the rear is making it look cheap. MS should have done better with rear end design.

And Thank God MS didn't fall for that mad race for connected tail lights.

IMHO the front looks very neat compared to the new swift.I noticed that the rear lights seem to draw inspiration from other cars, such as the i10 nios ,XUV7OO(or even a bmw M2!? )
The tires are really thin, you know why. I bet the claimed FE will be higher than 27kmpl

Finally, it took MSIL 4 generations of the Swift to make the Dzire look like a proper sedan and not just a Swift with a boot slapped onto the back like the afterthought that it was.

Have to say, the front end looks pretty good. But the rear leaves a lot to be dzired

The tyres look far too skinny, and there are shades of M2 in the way the rear tail lights and boot are designed. Honestly, not the best car to be taking inspiration from in the first place

Front looks really classy now. Rear is ok, they could have done better for sure. Dzire is the best selling sedan in India for years now and I am sure it will continue to do so.

With this design language, I am sure new Ciaz will be exciting. Not sure why Maruti is waiting for uplifting Ciaz? I know it will not give more than 2-3 K sales per month, but still it will attract more & more customers to their showroom.

The front looks absolutely brilliant, and for the first time, it looks nothing like the Swift. Kudos to MSIL for keeping every car distinctive instead of making them awfully similar and lazily calling it a "Design Language". Hope they retain the K12 engine instead of the new Z12 from the Swift.

A new generation Ciaz with a similar design would be such a looker! But unfortunately, they will just plonk in their old K15 engine with ~100bhp

Maruti designers have outdone themselves. Very neat and matured design language which has finally made the Dzire a good looking car. Side profile, though not well photographed feels good and rear is just about passing as ok. Something on the scale between ok and good. But the front design should be admired. Kudos to Maruti to have restrained from the bling and chrome.

Honda has some catch up to do for the Amaze now. Hope they will stick to their matured designs giving a CS segment a more matured design language overall.

This new design might hurt Honda more than the Ciaz which is from a different segment (City etc). Tyres seem skinny. Let's wait and see for the whole picture. I wonder if they will give the 4 cylinder option as well as they do for the Wagon R (or that has stopped).

They could've attached a piece with a reflector or something in the tail lamp. It looks very small and doesn't have a nice shape to it

If it starts looking this good, then it will attract buyers even from proper C segment sedans

Good mature design overall.

From the front it is more ready to be rebadged as Toyota than any other previous Maruti. In fact, this design should be launched as Toyota version and MS has to opt for some other design for the front grill.

I recently travelled in dzire cab. The car was almost brand new. Was pleasantly surprised by the space inside such a small car. The car is brilliantly packaged. Also I noticed how well the car rode. Very comfortable. Overall was very impressed. Only negative I saw was large wind and noise intrusion in the cabin post 80 kmph. Plus I could see the engine struggling a bit on ghat section with full load and AC.

Maruti has a lovely little car. Give it better sound insulation, better build and safety. I don't know why Maruti cheapens their car so much. Wonder how much would little better sound insulation add to the cost of the car.

Not sure about the break up in sales between passenger segment and taxi segment of Dzire. But most of the Dzire I see belongs to taxi segment and most of the ones I have travelled are CNG Dzires. For a segment with speed limit of 80 kmph, ride quality and space has always been decent.

Front design of facelift definitely gives Toyota vibes. Don’t know how many Toyota customers will take the rebadged Dzire for personal use. How ever it can fill the void left by Ethios in taxi segment. Toyota badge has a potential to outsell Maruti in Taxi segment atleast in cities.

If the tail lamp extended to the boot, the car would look wider and more proportionate. But this design is a huge step up from the current dzire which has a very bland look. I hope this doesn't enter the cab market as soon as it gets launched. I think maruti will keep the current dzire for that.

This is the first time the front has been styled independently from its hatchback sibling and has been executed well. The slightly stubby looking rear does not look bad IMO, albeit looks a bit boring.
