Dashboard design seems to follow the current civic interiors.

Damn Honda's obsession with their signature beige interior theme never seems to end. Hopefully they will introduce some new exterior colour. Sonic grey pearl please! Amaze, City and the current 3 series all look similar now.

Ah Honda!!! Is this your effort to challenge the new Dzire? Disappointed!!!
I hope there is something new on either engine or features stuff, else there is little chance that this car turns Honda's fortunes.

The shoulder support for larger individuals looks a bit iffy based on the new photos. The seatbacks are really narrow.

re: Next-gen Honda Amaze launched at Rs 7.99 lakhs (ex-showroom)

The hard plastics on the interiors make them look very bad. Not premium at all as opposed to Dzire. The exterior looks nice. I don't think they are going to cause a dent in Dzire's sales. Either they'll mess up the pricing or the feature set. The only thing that can somewhat attract enthusiasts is a good engine option which is absent in the Dzire. Any possibility of having the City's motor in this?

Honda's 1.2L NA engine is at the pinnacle of its evolution, creamy high revving and a marvel, and being a 4 cylinder gives it an edge over the Dzire with its 3 cylinder engine which is also much lower in power compared to Amaze.

A notable feature addition from the pics are the rear AC vents in the upcoming Amaze. The outgoing model doesn't have it.

It is a known fact, the Amaze will always be a more premium/ higher quality offering over the Dzire and the same will be reflected in the higher prizing of Amaze.

What is really good about the new Dzire is that it now has 5 star crash rating which makes it a strong alternate purchase option. Good for the market and us customers as we have more compelling choices.

Is it just me or is there an ADAS camera module just above the IRVM?

Remove the badging on the boot and it would take a second or two to differentiate the New Amaze from the City

I think it looks good. The rear camera angle does not seem to capture the true essence so will wait for more pics. I hope they add features like 6 air bags and cruise control in atleast the mid range models.

re: Next-gen Honda Amaze launched at Rs 7.99 lakhs (ex-showroom)

Honda has managed to piss off the Elevate, City and Civic owners equally with a single shot
Rear looks exact copy paste of City- something that will disappoint the City owners.
Car otherwise looks fresh and could go on to become the best looking compact sedan in the segment again.

Next-gen Honda Amaze launched at Rs 7.99 lakhs (ex-showroom)-14.jpg

Something a miss here as I was viewing the snaps .The arm rest in-between the front seats seems to be missing here..... I wonder if this is the new trend or just a deletion done . The same was pointed out to be missing in the New Dzire also.

Oh come on Honda! Why can you not design something that looks fresh and different? Why have you become so damn lazy?
Front from Elevate, rear from City, dashboard from Civic, and door pads again from Elevate. Seriously? What was the design brief around this? Probably was "Just add the unsold inventory on the existing old Amaze bodyshell and be done with it!"

Never has a render looked so accurate man! Honda is horribly lazy.

Exactly! The quality looks bad even in images. Plus it has a very plain jane type design. basically very boring and bad quality. Dzire hands down has better design, be it in the interior and exteriors, and for the first time ever, Dzire is going to be the most premium car in this segment.

Possibility of City engine is negative honestly. The current 1.2L still has an advantage of being the more refined motor, but the car falls short! Honda has basically served a win to Dzire. Maruti executives are probably laughing looking at this!

Wow. That is A LOT of part-sharing from the City . Those rear-vents aren't fooling anyone.

It's too early to say. Most cars and their success depends on the price and value proposition over the competitors.

See, that's the interesting thing about the Indian car market, you could have the best looking car and more features than a car from segment above and yet fail to make it, just because your competitors will offer better value.(Read: Tata Harrier, Hyundai Alcazar)

Let's see how this pans out. ADAS would obviously be top-trim exclusive, again, the price matters.

As a Honda fan, they better not screw this up like everything else they've screwed up in this country.

Come on Honda! Launch it at 7.5 Lakh! It's a small car, give it a 5-star and it's a capable punch competitor!!!

This is officially your last bet to stay relevant in world's fastest growing car market. (And also to keep happy thousands of crazy Indian Honda fanatics like me ) Under-equip it like the Elevate, avoid giving it a turbo, offer no unique selling point, and you're done in this country by 2028. It's serious now.

I cannot comment on design or part sharing. But atleast from pictures, this car is looking desirable.
I hope that Honda prices it aggressively to put up a decent fight against Dzire.
