Superb pricing by Honda. And the car looks nicer than the current version IMO.

The mid-trim with CVT under 10L ex-showroom is clever pricing. Wish Skoda had done the same with Kylaq.

Also, automatic option in the base-trim would help the buyers on tight budget.

It would be interesting to see Dzire vs Amaze sales numbers in coming months.

An ADAS variant and a mid-spec proper AT(CVT) variant within 10 lakhs is a welcome move by Honda. Am pretty sure the 5 star safety rating earned by Maruti played it's part in striking off ~ 25 - 30,000 off Amaze's launch price.

Q1 2025 will set the tone for the future of Amaze. However, I would have appreciated a proper generation change instead of just a facelift.

I have a 2024 Amaze VX CVT. I got 19.7 kmpl in a recent 226 km round trip driving at 85-90 kmph in highways (90%) + city (10%). While cruising MID showed a maximum avg of 21.6 kmpl.

So I guess the figure quoted by Honda holds good.

VX CVT variant was priced at Rs. 9.92 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom) in Aug'2024. I'm yet to go through the brochure to understand the spread of the features. Still, a marginal increase of Rs. 7k for what appears to be many more goodies than outgoing version seems modest.

Good on Honda for pricing it competitively.

The notable features in ZX over VX are only ADAS and different alloy wheels. VX trim seems the most VFM.

Wow, this is some pricing from Amaze, given that it literally has everything that the City does, or at places does even better. The interior, for sure looks better than City's dated one (being an owner) and at the price of City SV, getting an Amaze ZX CVT is brilliant.

Overall, nothing just Honda tryna compete with itself again.

Agree with my name alike. The 4 cylinder Amaze with CVT will be much smoother than 3 cylinder AMT Dzire.

The pricing is also attractive and it should sell in decent numbers.

Unpopular opinion I guess but it's probably the best looking sedan its segment. The elevate-ish grill is to give it an SUV like vibe- something we've seen with the Hycross and the city rear definitely makes it look premium. Not sure how digestible the pricing is gonna be to the audience because of the lacking features but it for sure looks promising

Leaving aside the natural fanboy-ism that Honda still attracts, this looks pretty forgettable to be honest, but still a vehicle for head over heart, the perfect fill-it-shut-it-forget-it kind of vehicle. The downside of being a Honda would be marginally more costly spares and service, but the upside would be the sheer longevity that you can expect with routine maintenance.
The engine, though still adequate, remains exactly that, adequate. The lovely gearbox is an unintended consequence of Honda not wanting invest in more powertrain options, or "why fix what ain't broken", depending if you have your Honda-etched lens on or not.
To be honest, if I were product planner at Honda, I'm not sure what I'd do with the Amaze, given the realistic sales forecast against Dzire, there probably wouldn't be a business case to shoot for the moon. So, all in all, a vehicle that can be safely cross-shopped with the Dzire, with very little to go wrong on either side.
Except for the fanboy-ism, which probably comes with the package.
