I think the possibility of getting 1l turbo is higher only if Honda has the plans to launch a sub 4m crossover. I don't think that's going to happen as the Elevate replaced WRV in Honda's global lineup and Brio based WRV is available only in a handful of South East Asian markets. This also opens up a question if Honda wants to develop a sub 4m crossover specifically meant for India!

Hope this turns out to be false: Amaze copied brio, brio model discontinued; Amaze copied civic (partial), civic discontinued. Now amaze copies City! 🙊

Fitting the City's 1.5 litre gasoline unit to the Amaze will make things quite spicy. Nothing to beat a smooth, high revving naturally aspirated petrol in a lighter bodyshell.
Honda can easily do an "N-line" to their existing product line. They have the knowledge & experience.
But they won't. Understandable. Because in India it will not sell. No one will buy. Not even the so called "enthusiasts" who blab a lot about fast cars, but when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is they back off.

New Amaze looks really good compared to the current Amaze.

Not sure why is there a concern with Amaze looking similar to City. Look at Volkswagen's Vento / Jetta / Passat or the products from Tata - Harrier / Safari / New Nexon / Punch with all have similar front and different sizes.

I have doubts that Honda will give their 1.5 L NA in this Amaze, as it may directly kill City. They can definitely give options of 1.2 NA and 1.0 Turbo.

I think the turbo will come only after 2026. This amaze will continue the 1.2 L Np1-Kai Engine, afterall they have to compete with Dezire in terms of cost.

City/Elevate will continue with the AP2 1.5L engine for the near future to come.

Nice move by Honda, to compete with the new MS Dzire, some City owners might be irked by the similarity, we need to look out for the engine options they are going to offer, Let's see if the new Amaze does some Amazing wonders for Honda

That's what Indians want, right? Tax benefits and better styling compared to the previous generation Amaze could actually give tough competition to the Dzire..

Honda plays super safe in India, here’s how it’ll go,

• Elevate-ish front
• City-ish rear
• ADAS will be a differentiator
• Maybe a sunroof
• Slightly pricy than Dzire, with correspondingly better interior and body shell
• Same 1.2 NA engine as of today!
• Auto opening glovebox on jerk

Overall a AMAZEing car, might have a slight edge over Dzire this time due to the 4 cylinder engine and ADAS. Let's see what Hyundai does with Aura now, probably they’ve got Exter in its place. Tigor can be retired if not for the EV version.
