Remove the Urban cruiser badging, like others said. Toyota Taisor actually looks much better than Fronx to me. Wish toyota did something to strengthen the car, to be more safe, like a safer alternative to Maruti.

Just one word 'Oh my Fronxx'. I am sure there may be a business sense behind all these re-badgings but for me, it's just like watching a Tamil movie on OTT and then after a few weeks see that it's being remade in Telugu.

Not even remake, it's just changing the font in post production (If you remember, Pulivendula bus board in Pandem Kodi).

Jokes aside, I am part of the camp supporting this whole rebadging exercise. As an investor, its a masterstroke from both MS and Toyota. And as a consumer, I have a choice of slightly different (better?) car almost at the same price. The advantages are evident now.

Coming to Fronx vs Taisor, I am in the minority who feel Fronx looks better. When Fronx came out I mentioned that I would not mind picking it instead of waiting for Toyota's cousin, this statement still holds good even today. Not that Taisor is bad, but Fronx seems to have its own identity.

Given the past rebadging jobs between these two partners, I didn't expect anything different. I guess it's alright - those who liked Fronxx will like this too and vice-a-versa.

Cosmetically, I was interested if they would redo that massive rear faux diffuser in more tasteful way - but nope, remains unchanged.

Other thing of interest if they have corrected the stupid backseat belt warning without weight sensor. Not that I have high hopes, but appreciate if someone can clarify. Thanks!

Looks much better than Fronx.

Look at the sheer innovation on offer from Toyota India right now. I cannot imagine the kind of advanced R&D their engineers had to go through to come up with this product. I hope the market recognizes their groundbreaking effort and rewards them handsomely by buying this never-seen-before product by the thousands every month.

I like the Fronx better, although the rear LED lighting upgrade in Taisor is nice. Some reasons people may choose a Toyota -There's one major drawback though - the rebadged parts by Toyota are 10 times expensive as discussed in one of the other threads. So any part replacement maintenance is going to be steep.

The Taisor's design is identical to the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It's simply a rebadged version of the Maruti Fronx, which Maruti Suzuki introduced last year. It will most likely attract those customers who don't want a Maruti badge on their car but like the Fronx.

Taisor's appearance is nearly identical to that of Fronx, with just minor cosmetic differences such as a new grill with a chrome strip running across it and significantly redesigned LED DRLs. The interior appears to be the same, with a dual-tone color scheme and a 9-inch infotainment system including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The rear views of both are quite similar to fronx. The Taisor, like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, is available with two engines: a 1.2-litre normally aspirated and a 1-litre turbo-petrol. This is the sixth automobile shared under the Maruti-Toyota cooperation.

It is another Fronx but it looks better than Fronx. Same like Baleno and Glanza.

Why are MSIL and Toyota doing this copy-paste rather than bringing new and fresh designs? (Toyota especially).

Is this the case for all rebadged Toyota?

They could have at least revised the polarising Ford Freestyle-esque interior palette for something more neutral in the Toyota, like maybe an all-black. I know of people who have picked the Glanza over the Baleno for the interior alone.

Baleno vs Glanza for reference:

One of the amusing things about these twins from Maruti and Toyota are that they both look similar.

1. Grand Vitara LEDs are cube shaped but Hyryder has strips
2. Fronx also has cube shaped LEDs but Taisor has strip shaped LEDs

The styling trend remains the same across these cars. I find this quite boring besides the fact that these twins are essentially the same thing with just minor differentiations

Most likely yes, if they do it for Glanza, then Taisor is nothing but a modified version of same. Here's the thread https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...r-balenos.html. Also, recently got to know that Toyota has very thin margins [not sure though] on vehicle sale, probably this is how they make up for it by pricing high on accessories and parts.:Frustrati

Touchup are much better this time specially in the front side. Initially in the frst look I was not able to connect this with Fronx, Grill is the biggest addition on this car by Toyota :P

Most of us are on the same page regarding this Toyota partnership with MSIL. It is a business at the end of the day and if it works for Toyota, well hey; can't do much about it.

On a positive note, I love the "Lucent Orange" color. It reminds me of the 1st Generation Swift that was offered in the same/similar colorway.

It is always good to see some funky colors on offer as a standard package for those who are interested clap:
