Had an oppurtunity to drive a Palio NV recently.. I have driven Palio 1.2 ELX(the older version) before... some of my observations:
The similarities:
The new NV looks and feels as sturdy and strong as the older one... the doors have that same old feeling and give a great "thud" (much like Octavia)... the power steering, interioirs, leg room is all the same as was in the older one...

The dissmilarities:
With a/c on, the new Palio felt a little underpowered than the older Palio. 0-20 took a fraction more second.. but the biggest surprise was 0-40 in second gear, where the car almost crawled and gasped for breath..( 0-40 in older Palio is effortless)...
The car was quite stable at 80 kmph( could not take it beyond that due to traffic constraints).. but it took its own time to reach there...

The new Palio NV drives more like a WagonR or Santro... dont know the reasons for that... maybe a new engine..?? or what..?? plz share your views

ECU was recalibrated for more mileage around last year. ACI tests showed that earlier the mileage was 9.2kmpl & later it went on to 9.8kmpl. Not worth if you ask me since the car now has a horribly blind spot.

One word for this difference : MILEAGE
The company gave the market a nice car with decent accelaration but we didn't want performance that so they had to give us what we wanted and thus was born the Palio NV.
