Hey guys

Of the given E class saloons above which would you buy? For me it has to be the W124. Looks great, drives well, reliable, less electronics than the current breed, still has an aura of its own even today, makes its presence felt. I never really liked the bug eyed W210 in terms of looks. The W211 is a great looker more like an S in E avtaar but still according to me doesnt hold its charm againt the older one.

And in the present day I can buy an immaculate one for 7 to 8 lakh rupees

W124 - make mine an E500

W124!!! Its the best E-Class ever made, and the second best MB sedan after the almighty W126 series S-Class. I for one hate the twin round eyed look of the new E Classes, and the W211 series is badly proportioned from the rear.

The W124 is really the perfect Mercedes, its not only an absolute classic but an awesome performer also. I have seen these cars with 3,00,000 km+ on the odo and not a rattle to show for it. They are considered the final Mercedes' from the old school of german engineering and are surely much better built than current day Mercs. Spacious, powerful, rugged and beautiful...the W124 it is for me. You also get after-sales support in terms of service and spares in almost every metropolitan city in India.

Yes Ajmat, the Porsche built E 500 is the W124 to buy.

W124! Easily. 100% Mercedes Benz - a car that I loved.
I don't like the 210 & 211 much.

W211 for me. I've driven the 124, and although its a great car, its just plain boring to drive.

I love the looks of the latest E and its a lot better to drive (so i've read). Sure it may not have that vault like build of the older merc's, but its still solid, and it'll still last for ages. Gimme an E55 and I'll be happy.

no W123

Yeah Rtech i found the W124 slightly dull, but i guess thats where engine options count.
I really dont like the styling of the W210,
the W211 is better looking than the 210, but not as good as the 124

but id choose a W123...wouldnt mind having another one..... brand new would be nice

Hey Rehaan not in the choices but great one there. I love the W123 as well . The W124 has also been one of my favourite Mercs . I agree the styling of the W210 is dull and its not suprising it hasnt got a single vote
