IMO they shud have launched all versions at 40K less than the price in the article......with 70% localisation and they wanna compete with the koreans....

the koreans will beat them hollow on pricing front !!

cheers

I really cant comment on the Fusion till I see it in person and rip it. Though I like the fact that its got SUV'ish looks...Autocarindia lambasted its low speed ride quality and the absolute lack of luggage space.

Still pondering. But the pricing is about what most people expected

At 6.2 lakhs the Fusion seems a rip-off to me. Remember this car is just a taller version of the Fiesta, so not very much bigger than the Ikon (which is based on the old Fiesta). I can't imagine paying that much money for it. In my opinion Ford has gone off their rockers!!

What Ford should have done, is replaced the aging Ikon with the sedan version of the new Fiesta (there is a sedan version, I have seen its pics on the 'net)...

I saw on the net Fusion being priced at GBP 9900 (Rs. 8 L) in the UK and Irish market. Have no idea how the cost in India compares with that of UK/Europe for most cars.

I too am a bit disappointed to hear the cost...but If the costs translate as it is from UK to India then 6.2 could be ok..

confused...

Thats a pretty steep price for this car. I had expected it to hover around 5.5 laks to take the fight to the Getz. But IMO Ford has put their first step wrong and thats the price. At a 6+ price tag I really wonder how much this car will sell.

I was reading the road test of Fusion the other day in Overdrive. My eyes...just arent ready to accept the Fusion as a hatchback....they make me look at it as a SUV...!! As others...even i havent seen it in real so.. watch this space!!

Judging the car just by the pics wud be a lil unfair.Have to wait and watch, rip the car and then come to an outcome as to is the price worthy or not???
But my instinct says its gonna be another Getzy kinda thing.Tad overpriced but people still wanna buy it.
Wait n watch game again.
