What should Sachin do with his Ferrari? EDIT : He sold it!

I think the best sollution is to ask BPCL to make the 97 Oct fuel available to anyone willing to pay for it. Sachin should consider paying for his fuel too.

There are so many exotic cars in India and Sachin's Modena is just one off them. It would be unfair to deny others of the special fuel.

Do make it a point to vote. We can then send this to the concerned news papers and ask them to print it. Ask everyone you know, to come and vote. The more votes we can get the better.

Regards...

Personally I think 93 Octane is good enough. But, if Sachin insists on 97 Octane, then I agree with Shantanu's idea. And yes, everyone should pay for his / her personal petrol usage.

The 97 octane petrol should be manufactured and made available for the public to use. Sachins car is just a one off 360 Modena what bout the other exotics we have the Carrera GT , then we had the Diablo and other Ferraris . Are the othes mad to import 97 octane and octane boosters for their cars?Seeing the current scene we can expect a lot more cars to come So I feel it should be available to any one who wants it.. And Sachin please grow up and pay for your fuel atleast

Cheers

Well, whatever Sachin had to do with his Ferrari has already been done...butttttttttttttttt the next time he buys a Ferrari he must:

1. Pay full duties
2. Homologation charges do not apply anymore to cars over $40,000.
3. When he pulls up for a full tank of petrol, PAY UP!!! Even the taxis and rickshaws do.

Also someone needs to tell him that C-L-A-S-S and C-R-A-S-S are spelt differently.

i agree with both shantanu and rehaan.....if he keeps it, he should pay for the fuel and the 97 octane fuel should be available to the general public. on the other hand, after showing that even though he has all the money, he went through the mess with the customs and registration guys, he doesnt deserve a ferrari.

did i hear dippy say Carrera GT? werent LHD cars not allowed to be imported to india? then again i saw a pic of Ratan Tata in a silver SL, and looked like the pic was taken in india.

i did not know he does not pay for his fuel. but then neither do many of the politicians and other personalities. but we are the people who elect them and idolise them so i think we ought to stop griping.

and what rtech said is true. this is true in India, Japan, US whereever. U ever see Micheal Jordan pay for fuel or food while he was with the Bulls?

A few months back I saw a (under 45) politician pull up to the street fruit vendors near Amarsons (Breach Candy/ Warden Road/ Bhulabha Desai Road) and the vendors ran to his car with baskets full for their wares. The car BTW was a BMW 7 series. While he and his wife sat in the front seat (yes he was driving) the vendors piled up the trunk and then began piling up the rear seat. I dont know if this was out of homage or out of fear but I did not see any money being exchanged or any other overt force being used. We are a country full of psychophants. Period.
