The handling problem has been addressed many times but i have also noticed another weird and dangerous feature.
The dashboard reflects into the rear view mirrors on the doors hindering visiblity to a slight extent. This happens even at nite when the green dashboard lights reflect into the rear view mirror. Trust me, it's pretty distracting!

Thats the point!!! Do anything..but the manufacturing cost cannot drop!! It wont touch the Scorpios price!!
Agreed it has improved...but wat abt the design ... are the people in design department of the Safari...on leave since its launch??
I see no point today.... paying 7-8 lacs on a vehicle...that doesnt even come with clear lens lamps!!!
I will prefer driving a Scorpio below 100kms/hr rather than spend some lacs more on a Safari!!!!

Secondly ... launching a special edition Safari with Dvd players...etc etc..isnt going to improve sales....as the electronics dont come free..they definately have an effect on its price!!!

stratos,

i wonder y cant they price the safari lower? i mean tata plays the Value For Money card with all their products, then y not the safari...

Agreed the scorpio is a good vehicle save for its handling...i was only responding to your comment on tata not improving the safari since its launch.

hey dude,

the safari is a much much better vehicle today than the day it was launched....tata are better known for continuous improvements on their products, look at the success of the indica v2.

If u remember...there were problems with the safari gearboxes n engines when it was launched which have now been sorted out...n whole lot of other things as well.

Drifter
hey drifter

i know what gear box problems u r talking about and let me assure u, those problems are still present , they havent gone anywhere !!

but yes i agree the safari is a better handler than the scorpio and wins hands down on comfort too. only dose of life it needs is by changing the engine, which i hope tata launches soon. and yes they better improve on the build quality if they r gonna offer the same looks.

cheers

hey relax dude....i know.

dont know the reason y the safari costs that much...it wudnt hurt to lower its price. n i think they r charging a useless premium over it.

N_C, the gearboxes arent perfect...its a tata, they've always had horrible gearboxes, but the point is that its much more improved over the older models.

drifter,

if this is improvment , then i think i dont have to tell u the about the non-improved QUALITY !! no wonder the scorpio is selling better...tatas cant charge a premium for horiible quality !!

cheers
