AutoCard

I do not have any experience with Petro card.
But I started using Maruti AutoCard which i found good. It is a credit card from citibank sponsered by Maruti I think.
  1. 1.5 points for 100Rs spent on fuel/lub at IOC
  2. 5points for 100Rs spent on Maruti Dealers/***
  3. 1 point for 100Rs spent on any credit card purchases
The points can be adjusted against the your vehicle service bill at Maruti service stations. I got 50points in the last 2 months and adjusted in my second service bill

but it seems that now there are no reward points for filling in fuel(though not sure abt this). And min we have to fill for 400/- Max 3k

Mohit, Thanks for the info. Interested in waiver of surcharges rather than garnering points

In case of ABN-Amro, there are a few credit cards which waive of the surcharge of 2.5% across India, so what happens is that when you use the CC to pay for the fuel at a n outlet, they charge the 2.5%, but the bank reverses it in the next statement. Works fine so far.

Same with Stanchart, but they seem to be specific with BP, so I quit both and nowadays very happy to seek out HP bunks even when I am out of town.

HPs CoCo bunks are on par with Shell with respect to service, cannot comment on fuel quality since I never tried Shell so far.

petrocard is pure waste

Hi! all
petrocard is pure waste.or for that matter most of the loyalty cards are like that.intially they keep good rewards etc at reasonable number ofpoints.but within a year they change the rewards catalogue and reduce the value ofpoints. BPCL petrocard point value is less than ONE PAISA. Only way it useful is petrol bunk guys can not cheat you on change. that's all. what i fail to understand is why one should pay to join in it. in case of petro card to recover the Rs 250/-joining fee one has to accumulate more than 25000 points. it is such a waste. as of now IOCL card seems to be good. but BP is enjoying the first mover advantage

I use the Petro Card from Bharat Petroleum. never faced any issues till now. My points were close to 1,00,000 and I redeemed about 80000. No hassles - the gifts arrived as promised on time and in proper condition.

Now my points are currently close to 1,30,000. I have no complaints.

Oh - I also have HP's smart card that is with my uncle's driver most of the time. No idea on the service. I also use my i-mint card at HP outlets.

i would still tell hsbc is best coz u don't have to remember where to use only go to any pump and fill the fuel and u get wavier of 2.5%(above 400/-, but u get in 400 now a days)
and on top of it is u get points too for it.
i have checked it and regularly encash it

Let me restart the thread after more than 2 years. I have BP Petrocard, but so far not redeemed the points. I also use Axis Bank Priority Bank debit card in BP and HP pumps which guarantees no additional fuel surcharge on purchases.

Most of the credit card companies have withdrawn the surcharge waiver and the money back. Does anyone continue to enjoy this benefit? If yes, which card?

I use HDFC Titanium Debit card at all petrol pumps, mainly BP, during the swipe, there is a charge of 2.5%, but I get the amount credited back to my account in next 10 days. The debit card information booklet has this information as no surcharge at fuel stations, I feel this as very easy.

citibank IOC is the most rewarding card if you do fuel purchaces from IOC pump & swapping on citibank machines.

There is no surcharge and all the accumulated points are paid as 1:1 ratio or fuel purchase.
