New Features:
Exi - 1 din stereo
Gxi - Fog lights
VTEC plus - SRS airbags + ABS + Leather upholstery.

No, change in other specs - no 15" tyre in Plus variant!

Wow, this is quite nice !! Never expected Honda to come up with these features so soon :)

Now the SX4 v/s City war will go to the next level !!!

Wow! Thats a 10 Lakh+(OTR) car. There will always be people who will buy it just for the brand. I would rather buy the optra diesel by paying a little more. But its a good thing that Honda decided to provide Airbags and ABS.

Huh, at that price .... i'll look somewhere else.

Killer pricing - for Honda themselves. Seems like they just don't want to learn anything.

The SX4 looks - SO MUCH MORE VFM NOW.

Cedia would be a better option than the NHC Vtec.

Only the VTEC gets the safety features? Very hypocritical from Honda. And frankly, at this new "plus"-ed price, the NHC VTEC doesnt have anything going for it - people might as well buy the Civic or a Magnum D

Does Airbag and ABS available for Vtec version only?

What about non-Vtec version? Is it available atleast as a option?

Exshowroom price of NHC Vtec plus in bangalore is Rs. 876000
Exshowroom price of SX4 ZXI is Rs 700000.

Huge difference of 176000 and the difference in OTR will 2 lakhs.

So still SX4 is more value for money. SX4 still has additional features like 16 inch alloy wheel, 190 mm GC, steering mounted Audio control, EBD and ofcourse very good service network.

In my opinion, Honda launcing VTEC with Airbags and ABS will not affect SX4 sales. Infact SX4 sales might increase by looking at the price difference. Also NHC sales might get hit from SX4 as well as upper segment cars like OPTRA etc...

Anyway good move by Honda. People who are very much into Honda brand will now get safety features and thats good.

Kudos to Maruti for forcing Honda to provide the safety features.

Previous Vtec didn't did well nor it will do this time , good to know that now exi comes with a 1 din stereo :D

At this price point I cant possibly thing of anyone going for a vtec plus... Magnum is faster, better looking, more fuel efficient, has better ride... heck it comprehensively trumps the city in almost every department.
Its way overpriced!

honda has reduced cash discount in exi and gxi too from 10k to 5k so in all increase has been of 8k

not available as option in EXi/GXi/CVT trims.. probably might be possible that honda experts think the iDSI engine won't run that fast to warrant safety features

VTEC with automatic would have been great. Nevertheless, finally Honda has refreshed the model before a new version in late 2008. For Aug 07, City has recovered ground lost to SX4. However, SX4 is presently doing great.

The price hike is ridiculous and they should have offered ABS and airbags in the GXi as well because it is the fully loaded non Vtec model. The SX4 still remain VFM but it remains to be seen how long before Maruti hikes SX4 prices because at launch the current prices were supposedly introductory. And yes the fully loaded Magnum at 11 lakhs on road Mumbai makes more sense.
